Holds lots of yor stuff

I bought these to use indoors in Florida. They were in a shed attached to he house. After 2 years, the plastic on the box pat of the roughneck became brittle and cracked. eventually, the roughneck just broke down. These were used inside, not in direct sunlight and with some partial air conditioning. I guess they are not made for Florida weather. However, the lids, very durable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roughneck Totes

I love these totes for almost all storage applications but wish they came in more than 3 colors. I find myself and have heard many others wishing that rubbermaid would produce a set of colors beyond the standard blue(s) and grey.

18gal. Tote

I have many, many (40 to 50) 18 gal. totes. I love them. The problem is, however, the lids are continually breaking. In years past, I've been forced to purchase new totes just to have lids. I can't continue to do this. Please, where can I purchase lids?

Great storage container for camping gear

We use to store Scout camping equipment in -- the 18 gallon size holds two Trail Chefs, a propane lantern, 1st aid kit, dining fly, water filter, and a ton of little stuff. Keep it packed and ready to go.
Use another for white gas bottles and stoves.
And another for food.
Get to car camps, they can sit out in the rain. Just took 3 of them down 62 miles of white water in canoes. No they are not watertight, but keep all the stuff together.

ROUGHNECK TOTES were THE BEST on the market. Like other comments here Americans rely on your product. Please explain why you are no longer making these available! I sure hope it's not because Rubbermaid has decided to go cheap like everyone else out there! PLEASE BRING THESE BACK!!!

These are the only storage totes I've used for many years, I am very disappointed I can no longer buy them. These totes are the only ones I've been able to use when working outside; other totes crack in extreme weather (Minnesota winters) and being bounced around the back of a truck, but not these totes. I gladly paid the extra amount to buy these, knowing they wouldn't fail. I have searched multiple stores looking to get more, but have been unable to find them or a product that's even close to the quality of these containers.

I have dozens of these and they have lasted for years and years. I am very disappointed that they are no longer available. Why were they discontinued? How can we request that they come back?

Please bring back all Roughneck Storage boxes and in various colors which is helpful to identify stored items.They are simple, strong,durable , long lasting ,stackable,flexible, light weight, not bulky, dustproof,waterproof if the water leak is from above, and easy to handle and store within itself when not in use. When it comes to design strength there is no wasted cubic inches when the storage box size and shape is important. I have been using Rubbermaid Storage Boxes for over 15 years with approximately 300 in use for storage of holiday items and important personal family belongings . The merchandise in my Rubbermaid Storage boxes costs me thousands upon thousands of dollars and cannot be replaced . When considerating the safe storage of items that are precious to me ' Rubbermaid' is the only way to go.
