Roughneck storage containers are great!

I have bought and use several different size Roughneck storage containers. For years, like most people, I guess, I used cardboard boxes for storage. As you know from personal experience, over time, cardboard boxes fall apart, tear, get very dirty, get bugs inside of them, and on and on.
Roughneck containers have none of the problems or limitations. I love them and will be buying more of them in the future when I (certainly will) need them.
I 100% recommend using Rubbermaid Roughneck storage containers. They have been a great investment for my storage needs.

Roughneck - beats the heck out of the competition

The rough neck tote, I use everyday. Well, at least at work I do. I work for a noted caterer in the GTA, and I use the Roughneck Tote for shipping our catering equipment. I use 1 as a set up equipment kit; which I can pack an industrial size roll of foil and plastic wrap, half deep foil pans, garbage bags, paper towels, water jug, waiter bar trays, aprons, and yes this fits in 1 tote. When I am using your totes, not only are they easy for me to stack, I can quickly pack and label what is inside of every container. The ease of the lids with the tote, is always a life saver. No messing around with lids that just won't fit the tote. Heavier item's that I send out are always put into the Roughneck tote. I can be rest assured that our decor item's and equipment will not get damaged in transit by either staff or drivers.

Great product

I love these boxes for storing my holiday stuff. My only concern with them is knowing whether or not they are REALLY protecting my stuff. My boxes are in the storage room in my apartment which is outside on the balcony, so my concern is with bugs and stuff getting into the boxes since it's not really sealed. So far, however, I've had no problems! I love the ease of use and stackability. Just don't stack the heavy ones on top because that's how I ended up bending my lid on one of them. :/

THE LIDS

I am always using the 18 gallon 10 gallon bins. I see that you DO NOT offer a lifetime warranty anymore. Why? Also the newer bins sometimes are difficult to remove the lids and on other ones the lids DON'T stay on that well.

Due to jobs, promotions, losses, family growth, storage needs, and having an American lifestyle, we have purchased these containers of varying color, style, and design throughout the years, and these containers are now treasurers of our dwellings. Nothing, no brand ever matches them in durability. We started owning these in 90's, and end up buying them with our Christmas purchases every year. You produce the best home, office, storage, work, containers, hands down. Get as many as you can. You'll never run out of uses. There is no other container I recommend. Rubbermaid! Get it.

Great Tote but....

I use these to store my potting soil and compost but I usually have to replace the totes after two years because the lids crack and separate even though I store them in my garage out of the weather. The lids do take more use than the tubs so the lids need to be made sturdierrt since you can't just buy a replacement lid.

Heirlooms Saved

About three years ago we moved to a new place and most of our stuff was put in our rubber maid totes. As time went on and I was able to settle in more I noticed a few things missing and until recently was not able to find them. I had a gift bag in one of the totes that contained an infant’s dress that my grandmother made for my mother when she was a baby and a few pictures as well. I found the shadow box I was going to put them in but could never find the dress; I had almost given up hope of finding it. As my husband cleaned out the barn one day he came across the tote and brought it inside and said "that baby dress you’ve been looking for is in there". He mistakenly the tote in the barn thinking it was Christmas stuff due to it being in a red tote, we buy certain color totes for different rooms and holidays to make it easier to find things later without having to dig thru them. I was excited and afraid to see what kind of condition that dress would be in after sitting three years in a dark, wet, stinky, chicken and goat housed barn. What would it look and smell like. I was very surprised at how well the dress and the pictures held up. The dress didn’t smell of barn yard animals, and there were no moth, rodent or insect holes in them either. The pictures weren't damp nor did they stick together still just as good as when I seen them last. Thank you Rubber maid for saving my family heirlooms’. I love my rubber maid more than ever.

Storage Boxes

I have purchased these in a mulitude of colors. Holidays and event storage is color coded in my attic. Red & Green - Christmas; Black & Orange - Halloween: Silver - Weddings; ect. I also used my labeler to specify what is inside - picture frames, Tree Ornaments, Kitchen Decorations, etc.
Love these totes, They are lightweight but sturdy, keep things dry and safe. Nothing gets crushed in them, they stack great, and with my above system are easy to pull out just what I need. The lids fit great, not being too boxy they allow air circulation around them.
