Tough and strong, but brittle

Love the Roughneck storage boxes themselves, but, like everyone else, the lids leave a lot to be desired. We have several roughnecks, but we have 2 that are now not usable as the lids have just snapped apart and broke into several pieces. Is there anywhere where we can buy just the lids? It's unfortunate that the reputation of Rubbermaid has, in my opinion, crumbled just like the lids. Guess I may need to purchase the competitor's containers. Storage boxes are no good without lids.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ok but lids are bad

I love my totes and have 10 and only 4 now have lids that are some what good enough to keep on and use with they made replacement lids to purchase
I would recommend this to a friend!

Why did you discontinue this????

This is the ONLY storage tote I can find that doesn't break when dropped. Why would you discontinue it? I have about 30 of these, and I was about to pick up another dozen to get stuff picked up around the house and put in storage in my basement. Not sure what I'll use now, but it won't be as good as these.

Seriously? The only decent storage bins out there and they are discontinued? Our storage at home and church uses these. 30+ years they have been my go-to. Nothing else is as durable

18 gal. totes a salvation and still are!!!!!

I have about 30 of these totes. Have color coded them over the years. Red for Christmas, black/orange for Halloween, Purple for Easter, and many other colors for storage of other things. Is there any hope you could bring these back? None of the other brands compare in the least.

The Best Storage Container of all!

Please reconsider bringing the production of these containers back. They are the most durable and lasting containers out there. It’s a shame that my children can’t find them to buy in the stores because they want to also use them for their storage needs. :( Will they ever be produced again??
