[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hair salon set is perfect for my daughter. She has the doll and spend so much time fixing and styling her hair and this set is an ideal addition. She spends hours working on her hair making it perfect. I would highly recommend this set.

Fun doll hair color salon!

My daughter and her friend had a great time with this doll hair color salon. They used dolls with hair that they had, it was fun to watch the hair color foam up and brush it on the dolls hair. There is a good variety of color to choose from. It was fun to use the water spray to rinse the color out to try another one. It is a great way to change your dolls hair over and over.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most parents purchase toys that their children can play with on their own, because we do enjoy our quiet time (of course there are times when we do play pretend with our children but you parents get me I'm sure). This Rainbow High Hair Salon was extremely difficult for my 7 year old to handle on her own. My daughter can read just fine, but the powdered color packets ("activator") came all stuck together with some type of adhesive that is extremely sticky and hard to get them apart. The colored packets are important to see because on the front because they show you the color you are using to mix to make the foam, the words activator will be in the color of the hair color you are looking for. The instructions tell you to fill the water basin that is located under the salon chair, and then you turn the drain to off, and mix the contents of the activator and the colored bottle in the sink, then transfer the foam to the bowl. Not sure why it tells us to mix it in the sink, when the mixing bowl is what it's going into anyways, but we did it as the instructions stated. Moving on, the foam applies on the dolls hair just fine. **NOTE: THE DOLL IS NOT INCLUDED**
The salon sink doesn't really spray very well, and is more of a little drizzle, and you'll end up washing her hair in a real sink. This sink is too small for a doll with such long hair, and your child will end up with water all over the place trying to get the dolls hair all wet and cleaned off. I think the concept of this idea is very cute, and maybe it could be easier for older children, but the age range says ages 5-12. I definitely do not see anyone younger than 9 being able to do this successfully on their own. I would not recommend for those with children in the 5-9 age range. This toy has a lot of instructions to it and the sink does not work well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter was so excited to receive the rainbow high doll and high hair salon. She wants to be a beautician so now she gets to play beautician on a doll. She has played with it for hours. I let her play outside with it bc it can be pretty messy.

Not worth the price tag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While this is a nice idea and everything is cute, it's not practical. The doll that you buy to use with this, her hair is too long and fills up the entire sink basin and you can't really rinse the hair color out of her hair because of it. It took a full minute of pumping the pump to get the rinsing wand to work. Then it started to leak once you drain the basin (good thing they tell you to put a towel down!). The hair color is dull pastel colors, nothing like I expected. The doll does not come with this set, it is sold separately. The stuff they use to keep stuff in place (white gooey tape?) was a PAIN!! It was between each powdered activator packet, on the back of the base of the tub, and other places to keep things in place...it was a chore to even get everything out of the packaging! In the end, the doll needed her hair rinsed in my sink with mild soap to get the hair dye out. The dye is goopy and chunky. It's fun for the first few minutes, but my daughter quickly lost interest after all the pumping we had to do and it wasn't even helping to rinse the doll's hair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great addition to the doll

This is such a fun hair salon kit! My daughter loved mixing the colors and seeing the foam develop. A great activity for any little girl that loves styling hair. The salon chair for the doll is a hit!

We have several of the Rainbow High dolls and were excited to get a fun toy to go with them. We don’t have the hair studio doll, but luckily my daughter is blonde and was excited to try the washable color in her hair. The salon was excellent quality, and the hair washing station wasn’t just cute but also so much fun to use and actually spray water from. The color mixed very easily and dried quickly providing a fun tint to her hair. Excited to use it again and try out a few more colors. Also, we can’t wait to buy the hair studio doll and have fun coloring her hair.
