Oven limitations

We have had our 36” dual fuel for over a month and have been happy for the most part. The only issue that I’ve noticed is that the oven only goes by 25 degree increments. I bake a lot and sometimes a recipe will call for something like 390 for croissants. Luckily we have a separate wall oven that can accommodate different temperatures. Had I known this weird oven quirk I would have gone with a different manufacturer.

Continued Problems

We have had this range for a few years and have had the upper element break with a repair completed under warranty and now out of warranty the lower element isn't getting hot. One of the knobs broke in the first 6 months of owning, so we have had to just borrow a different know to use that burner - the plastic piece inside the know broke and we haven't been able to find the replacement piece.

No Service Help

So when you have an issue with an appliance, they schedule you for service, nobody comes, and the service website says its not working either. Nice job GE.

Love my Cafe Appliances

Lots of features! Love the convection bake for even baking; the temperature probe combined with my app for controlled cooking is so convenient; the style is timeless; love the gliding racks in the oven. Very happy with my choice, ordered and received in around 7 months. Worth the wait!

Fan is too noisy and air fryer only in an app?!?

This is my second Cafe range. I had the same issue and should have stayed away because the noise from the fan when it cools is so loud it’s insane. We purchased this for two reasons - the looks and the idea of having an air fryer and getting rid of my counter top air fryer. While the range looks beautiful, it’s not great. I wish the salesperson told me the air frying was only to be used on an app on your phone. So my kids have to use an app to make chicken nuggets? We tried it once and it took double the time than my counter top air fryer so definitely not worth it if you think this would be a great feature. After taking 15+ mins to get nuggets to temperature it cooled for 30 minutes until I went and opened the oven door to make it finally cool and stop the noise! I wish I could exchange this range for something else because there a number of ranges in similar price tags.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Almost perfect

Have had mine connected two days now after a full kitchen remodel.
Love the look, functionality, build quality and simplicity so far other than a very annoying high pitch electronic noise coming from the small electronic display. Ugh. I can hear it throughout my whole house as if I have a case of tinnitus.
After just a few mins online, I discovered this has been a long time issue with these units.
Sure hope it’s a defective panel and not a design flaw as Im not sure I an live with that constant noise
Will be scheduling a service call soon. Other than the super annoying brain twitching ringing noise, it seems to be a great unit
I would recommend this to a friend!

One area I recommend changing is ability to turn on air fryer without the app
Love gas top and electric oven Use it daily!
