[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this watch very much and surprised how accurate the heart rate is.

Very nice watch, with a few caveats

The watch is very nice - design, ease of use, the app experience, GPS, on-watch calls are all positive highlights. The "cons", to me, are the notifications (whatsapp notifications, as example, are not well presented: sender name is truncated, body of message is sometimes not visible if there's 2+ messages...) and some specifics, e.g. the resting hearth rate is not measured consistently.

The watch itself works fine but the connectivity to bluetooth needs work. It will be fine for a few days then will have problems connecting in the morning will have to spend 5-10min trying to make it connect and sync. Watch and phone are never more than a few feet apart. And the most important is the promised “Alexa” that is still not available but is advertised as it has it already and can not get a straight answer as to when it will be available.

Great watch with amazing battery life

I have been very pleased with the GTR 2. I had previously owned two of the Samsung watches in which the battery life started out bad and only got worse in the first year, from lasting 12 hours to only lasting 3. I now own 3 watches from Amazfit and even my Bip that is two years old still has over a week of battery life on a charge. Amazfit makes great watches at reasonable prices.

Smaller case size variant shoud have been there

Unlike the previous GTR, i did not see anywhere the case diameter size other than the 47 mm. Smaller case variant like 40-42, would have done the justice to people having smaller hands and even women.
Other than this, technically everything is brilliant!!!!!

Thrilled with this watch so far!

I've been delighted with this watch so far. I had the Amazfit Trex for about a year or so, so I was already familiar with Amazfit's product line. There are some features this watch had that pushed me over the line to buy it and upgrade. At this price point, and with an incredible set of features, this watch simply cannot be beat. I'm so happy I bought this. I've been wearing this everyday for the past three weeks, really putting the watch through its paces. A few thoughts, in no particular order... - GPS has tracked my runs perfectly. I've seen a few people complain about this. I've had no issues at all. I've even compared the GTR 2 to my older Garmin. The metrics being captured by this watch during outdoor GPS activity are accurate. -Sleep monitoring is accurate too. This is the first watch I've really used consistently to track my sleep. While I can't compare to other watches (except maybe my old Fitbit), the metrics match up well with my actual experience. For example, when the dog wakes me up in the middle of the night, or when I get up early for a meeting, this watch tracks those aberrations perfectly. -Size: coming from wearing the TREX, this thing is so much smaller. The face is roughly the same size, but the watch's body is slimmer and lighter. I really couldn't wear the TREX while sleeping. The GTR 2 is a much better option to sleep while wearing. -Music. I LOVE the 3 GB music option. I'm often running in the mountains, going on long bike rides, etc. It's nice when I can minimize what I'm carrying. I've loaded a short playlist onto the watch and love not having to carry my phone to listen to music. Such a great feature. It's worth noting that you'll need to actually load the watch with music you own. -Bluetooth phone calls. I thought I wouldn't use this feature but it's been so nice to have. When my phone is across the room, or when I'm wearing gloves, or even when I'm driving, being able to use the watch for phone calls is amazing. -Battery. This watch has a fantastic battery. I've had notifications on, listened to music, tracked sleep, tracked runs, etc. and have gotten a solid 7 days of life. I'd imagine with less intense use you could get EVEN more. For me, this is a huge selling point. -AMOLED screen. Colors and contract look great. Easy to read in bright sunlight. -Responsiveness. This watch is more fluid and responsive than my TREX. I can scroll through quicker and the watch seems to keep up with me better, screen to screen. -Watch faces. Here's where I'm a bit critical. While the watch face store has more options for the GTR 2 than the TREX, there could be a few more options here. A quick guess: there are around 50 faces to choose from. I'd love to see this expand. -No NFC payments. This is sort of the last feature this watch could have, but doesn't. Just be warned. If you are looking for a watch that you can use for contactless NFC Google or Apply Pay, this isn't it. For me, I don't care about that feature. I just use my phone. But if this is a big deal for you, look at a different watch. -Zepp app. Any smartwatch is only as good as the app it comes with. And the Zepp app is...fine. It's honestly not quite as good as some of the others. And if you read reviews people are quite critical of the Zepp app. I'm less critical. I find it works fine. It syncs to the watch, allows me to view all the data I need to, and lets me see and change anything I would want. Could the app be a little more user friendly? Sure. For me, it still works fine and does what I need it to. Also, I've seen updates come through so I'm confident it will get better and better.

Just by reading its features, I can imagine how brilliant this smartwatch will be. I liked it a lot especially the personal assistant and 3 gb song storage.
