Bosch 300 Series Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having previously owned a Bosch dishwasher, I wouldn't settle for any other brand. My new Bosch did not disappoint! It does a thorough job of cleaning my dishes and is extremely quiet!

Sparkling clean but smells odd

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit that the performance of this dishwasher blows me away. It's a real lifechanger not to rinse dishes and have even the crusty ones come out sparkling clean. I'm not kidding when I say it was a real struggle initially to put unrinsed dishes in the washer.
My only complaint is that the machine smelled of mineral oil when I first installed it, and still stinks, but now with a sort of flowery scent that has imbued my silicone kitchen items. I had the repair guy out who recommended that the door needs to be propped open between washes and thinks the odor will go away with use. I've decided I'll have to wash the silicone by hand until then.

Adequate

Bosch has a great reputation and good reviews, so we purchased one. The only reason we replaced our old one is so I would feel comfortable washing my china in it on holidays, and I am confident that it will achieve that goal. It certainly is quiet, but that's not a high priority for me. The run cycle is also much longer than the 40+ year-old dishwasher it replaced (and that one still worked great) and I'm confused about why. I doubt that my next dishwaster will be a Bosch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quality Dishwasher

So when my 2 year old Kenmore started to leak, decided to go ahead and get a Bosch dishwasher. The quality is obvious. The dishes seem to be getting cleaner. The door closes easily. I'm satisfied!
