Hands down the best tote for the camping and rafting that I have come across. What ever the size for one's needs, the ActionPacker does the job keeping essential gear organized and readily available. Add a few strips of two sided tape foam to the inside of lip of the top, and voila, pretty darn water proof.

I bought several when we lived in the USA - we now live in Australia. Have had ours for about 25-30 years - outlasted half a dozen other brands. Wish I could get more. (hard enough in the USA, let alone Australia, it seems...)

Poor design

I’ve had the 24gal action packer for some time, although mine has held up. I CAN NOT use it for what it’s name implies, I rock crawl and space in a 2013 Jeep Wrangler 2 door is precious, the dimensions for this bin are 26.5”L x 19.3”W x 17.4”H, my sleeping pad rolls up to 26”L x 9” W, with the bins dimension my roll SHOULD fit, NOPE with all the useless bends and what not they put into it the dimensions are not internal dimensions. Poor designing on a product that WOULD’VE been perfect for the trail...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Off the Truck Roof @ 70mph

Loaded up my Action Packers and with the new kid along it worked out best to load them to the roof rack. After 500 plus miles our rigging loosened and two Action Packers fell off the roof onto the expressway. Once we safety got to the next exit and turned around and then back to the area we lost them one was on the shoulder of the highway just open and contents that did come out where ok, the second container was a bit further down the road and actually never opened and all contents where as stored.
The Action Packer did sustain some asphalt scraps from the 70 MPH slid across the road, but where still functional and where re-rigged to the roof for the remainder of our trip, 200 more miles with no further testing to their performance.
I started with one 24 gallon Action Packer I believe in the late 1980’s and over the 30 some years, now have 7 of them. I will purchase more as my requirements increase.

My first thought when I open the box was "Wow this baby is sturdy" I was looking for a container to carry around the company wall projecter. This item is more than suitable.

Great storage container

I bought these to store gear in and travel with. They work great! They are very durable, heavy duty, not flimsy like other plastic bins. I like the locking handle and plus, they look good.
