Don't do it to yourself

I purchased this and have had NOTHING but trouble. I have had a repair team come at least 5 times so far and I still do not have a fully functional unit. The support is absolutely terrible. Do not purchase cafe products. I certainly wish I didn't.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This cooktop has power!

This Cafe cooktop is a serious cooking unit. The 21,000 btu burner takes wok cooking to a commercial level. The other burners on this unit have amazing adjustability. Handles high flame tasks as well as solid simmers. This is the best cooktop I have used in 13 kitchen replacements.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The range top has been flawless since we puchased a month ago. The only issue is that it is hard to keep clean especially the eye burners and grates. Would recommend to anyone.

Does not work as advertised

Burners put out uneven heat, the 12,000 btu center burners each put out different amount of heat from eachother, same with the rear 18,000 btu burners and the wok burner puts out a huge flame that leaves a ton of soot on the pans. I had service come out and they couldn't fix it. The burners also put out a different amount of heat in correlation to the control knob. If I keep the rear 18000 btu burner on 2, I have to keep the other on 4 for similar heat output. All burners also do not adjust properly, settings 1-3 are the same output as well as 4-7. Basically there are three heating settings, not the nine as the control knob suggests. Had this for about two years and am very unhappy. Would not recommend

Poor Design, Broken Knobs

⭐️ 1 Star – Poor Design, Knobs Constantly Break
We purchased the Café Series range top (model CGU366P4TW2) expecting high quality, but it’s been a huge disappointment. Four out of the six knobs are now broken, and they cannot be repaired. After the third one failed, it became clear this is a design flaw, not user error. For the price, I expected durability — not a product where basic functionality breaks down within a short time. Extremely frustrated and disappointed.

extra low simmer is not possible, still nice.

I had a lot of concerns about the extra low simmer, and it isn't true that all burners can achieve it. the spiral burner no way. and each of the other 3 btu output burners have widely different low out levels. the simmer on the 2 lower output burners does a good job, the 2 high output burners are only ok but only for a very large pot, and the dual ring is either the HIGHEST OUTPUT or on low the LOWEST output - so I find I'm moving pots around. The spiral 'wok' burner works well with a wok or other pots and does not have low simmer. Overall, this is a terrific cooktop with lots of flexibility and features and is a good match with my other Cafe appliances.

We've used the range top for a couple weeks now and I love it! We purchased a Zephyr Hood to go with it and it looks and works great! We also purchased the wall oven and Advantium.
I would recommend this to a friend!
