Met expectations

Enjoyed growing and harvesting herbs and vegetables in my own kitchen during the dreary winter months. Fresh herbs were readily available once mature and the lettuce abundant. All in all, a fun and easy way to brighten a kitchen and enjoy the freshness of homegrown produce at the same time.

I now have 3 of these. My viola flowers are just amazing, so beautiful and overflowing with flowers. Also had mixed greens and they grew so fast I couldn't eat them fast enough. Another batch of lettuce is growing now and what to do with them all. Trying the heirloom tomatoes now so that should be interesting too.

Fun little garden

I've really enjoyed this garden. The fact that it has an internal clock is nice in case the electricity flickers. I know right away what happened. The grow lights seem to be more evenly spaced than in older models too.

The LED lighting system is great

A long time ago, I started with the classic 7 pod AeroGardens, which had compact fluorescent lighting. I had two and loved them and they still function, but decided to treat myself to the new LED light technology. I'm glad I did because the footprint of the new AeroGarden Harvest is smaller than my "Classic" and yet, the LED lights produce faster and straighter growth of salad greens and romaine. I love the new Harvest so much, I ordered a second one and both are in my kitchen. A plus with the LED lights is they are much cooler than the other type of lights. The only issue is that with a smaller growing bowl, I need to add water every couple of days, but the digital display tells me when it is time.

Design of original ones was much better.

This new Aerogarden makes you turn the light on when you want it to COME ON, instead of when you want it to go off, like the old ones did. That meant I had to get up at 4:30 in the morning to do this. Plus the instructions were lousy and I had to call multiple times to figure out what they were talking about. That meant getting up many different days before I got it to work right. I won't be buying this type again, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the best thing I've ever purchased. I have fresh lettuce and cherry tomatoes to eat at least 3 times a week. It is an easy way to have fresh produce and so much fun.
