Sawhorse Storage Bookcase - Medium Saddle Brown

I purchased the Sawhorse Storage Bookcase in the medium saddle brown to coordinate with the built-ins in my office. The color is even nicer in person, pretty and warm. The bookcase has an open, airy feel to it - the top 3 shelves are perfect for displaying my decorative items and photos, and I put my printer on the bottom shelf. While the 2 drawers are shallow, they are convenient for hiding away a few things.
Be forewarned, you will have to put this together yourself. Since it is tall and solid wood, it gets a bit heavy as you go along. The instructions suggest having 2 people during construction, but I am experienced at putting together furniture, so I decided to go it alone. I managed well even though I am only 5'2" and 103lbs, but if you are easily frustrated or get confused by pictorial instructions, I suggest enlisting a helper. The biggest hurdle I faced was getting the oversized box into the house from where it was delivered. It was well packaged with lots of styrofoam and cardboard bracing, and all the pieces and hardware were clearly labeled. As I worked, I needed to prop up one end on a short table and flip it upside down (compared to the instructions) when I began installing the bolts into the shelves.

Am considering buying another one.

After waiting an extra week for the product to arrive I unpacked to thinking that something would be damaged as that is my experience with beat up UPS boxes. I was pleasantly surprised that the bookcase was packaged beautifully and everything was there. It went together smoothly and is very well made. I searched a long time before choosing this one due to space restrictions. It fit perfectly! I love it

Purchased two units in black. Very good quality with relatively easy assembly. Had a parts issue with one of the units but SimpliHome resolved the problem very quickly and shipped out the part in under a week. I would recommend this item for purchase.

Very fast shipping. Arrived in great shape. Once assembled I’m very pleased with this piece. Very sturdy and the color is great. My only negative is that putting it together was kinda difficult, as is most furniture you have to put together. So pack your patience. But otherwise I highly recommend it. Got the matching nightstand today and will review it tomorrow.
