It was time to replace my Flip 3. The jump in bass / low end / boom, is incredible! Seems like I can run it forever before charging. Love the look / Shape!
I bought this speaker with high expectations and it blew them all away. I sound quality and volume that comes out of a speaker this size is unbelievable.
Sounds very good and has a good bass comparing to my previous jbl go. I wish it had some features to control the that bass because sometimes it's too loud.
I bought this speaker to take with me on a rafting trip and well let's just say I fell out of the raft with all my gear including the speaker attached to my back pack still playing music after being submerged in the water for at least 15 minutes until I got back on my raft. This speaker is Awesome and was definitely worth the price
I hate what they are doing connect+ to partyboost!?! i can't connect any of my jbl speakers i hope that they make an update from connect+ to partyboost or ele id rather move to other brand companies if they are just gonna keep making new connect function every flip series

Thanks for posting a review. We're always looking for ways on how to improve our products. The Party Boost is an improved version of the JBL Connect+, which improves the Bluetooth reliability of interspeaker connections. However, it's not backward compatible with the JBL Connect or Connect+. We don't have any news yet if the connect+ speakers will have an upgrade to Partyboost. I waited and waited.....and waited for this speaker because I lost my Flip 4 and thought the Flip 5 would be around much earlier than late July.
So it finally comes and it has Partyboost that is not backward compatible with Connect+. Now I'm finding out the two features and how they connect use different hardware to do so and therefore a firmware update is most likely not possible so that partyboost and connect+ will become compatible.
Dont get me wrong this is a darn good speaker and the best in its category but...
NOW I am gonna get another Flip 4 to pair with my Charge 4 so I can party Connect+ style instead of Partyboost style.
And no Bluetooth 5.0?!?
Coming from a big fan - shame on you JBL

iOS JBL App plays Stereo mode with two Flip 5’s Android app only plays Party/Mono mode. They sound great but without stereo mode on my Note 9 I'm disappointed.
