[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has a lot of sound out of a small package. You can take this to the pool and not worry about water.
With partyboost I can't link it whit older models and bluetooth 4.2 is too old

Our JBL Party Boost is an improved version of our JBL Connect+, which improves the Bluetooth reliability of interspeaker connections. It's not backwards compatible with the JBL Connect or Connect+ in older models.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this device on Aug 21st and I used / tested it for a week so that i can write this review. First of all the device looks great and comes with new feature (Party Boost Mode) which helps you to connect two JBL Flip 5 connect together and double your sound output. Here are the things I notice with new JBL Flip 5: 1. Bass levels are increased as compared to earlier versions of Flip series (Boom Bass). It Sounds gr8!!!! 2. Treble levels are also increased as compared to earlier versions of Flip series. 3. There is no Aux input now. But still its does not matter since most of us now uses BT wireless technology. 4. Battery back up seems increased a little bit over earlier versions. 5. Its Water resistant/proof and comes with IPX7 environmental protection 6. Sound quality is crisp and clear and best in the category as compared to Sony wireless speaker and Bose Soundlink series. 7. Also now comes with USB C type charging port which is essential and easy to connect and charge.
Following things to be considered for future Flip series: 1. WiFi connectivity. 2. Google crome cast for audio, 3. Alxa etc 4. Increased audio output.
Over the the product is great and awesome for any outdoor activity in most of the weather conditions. I highly recommend this product if your are buying Bluetooth speaker Over Bose and Sony options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, the Flips can take a beating. I got this after losing my original Flip. That one survived some abuse, including falling off the roof of my car going up 99E in Oregon in the rain. My new 5 is proving just as durable falling out of the treehouse, and it still sounds amazing. It’s small, so it’s easy to pack and carry, but has big sound. Easily connects to Bluetooth. Just a simple strong product. Kudos JBL.

Whoa! Glad to know you're enjoying our product. Here's to more adventures, you're the reason why we're doing this.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been reviewing this speaker for about a week and a half. This speaker has a great sound which last all 8 hrs I was playing it and still had battery left. The speaker is really loud but does distort at top volume depending on music style. I really like the look of the red speaker as you can see in pictures. I was unable to try the waterproofing but sure it works just as all other features do. I feature I can't wait to try and most interesting is the Party Boost. To connect and stream to several speakers. I can't wait to hear that sound. Overall a great speaker with really good features and sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this speaker for a few weeks now after being a long time user of the JBL Flip 4. I've got to say that to me the audio quality is noticeably superior. I'm old school, so the auxiliary cable port is definitely missed. I got it in solid red. I would have preferred some of the funky special edition offerings the Flip 4 offered. I use it in the shower all the time, so the water proofing is legit. One last major flaw I could think of: I haven't been able to use the super awesome "party link" feature between my new Flip 5 and my older Flip 4! It's either that I havent figured it out (which is entirely possible) or that JBL decided to not implement the compatibility, which is a definite souring point coming from a long time JBL customer with a collection of their products throughout the years.

Thanks for enjoying our sound and for the helpful review! JBL Flip 5 is designed with the Party Boost feature. This is an improved version of the JBL Connect+, which improves the Bluetooth reliability of inter speaker connections. It's not backwards compatible with JBL Connect or Connect+, therefore it's not possible to connect it with your Flip 4. For more information about our JBL Flip 5 check out the specification section.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Flip 5. The sound is great and very clear with no distortion. It is louder and has more bass then older Flip products. The speaker recharges quick and the battery last a long time. Also this Flip 5 comes with a hard case which is great for traveling. I recommend the Flip 5.
