Creative build with a new app integration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic way for LEGO to evolve into some interactive toys for kids. The VIDIYO app helps to make this LEGO minifigure come to life in the animation within the app. Pretty cool feature and will totally WOW a child with being able to interact and control the figure they just built and created.
The LEGO bricks here are cute and fun, and reliable and sturdy as we would expect from LEGO. I like this new ability to create music videos in the VIDIYO app and help young minds express creativity and build little film makers. My little one has enjoyed creating her stage and watching her minifigure jam out on stage.
Overall the mermaid is cute and the bricks are all fun with the new carrying case available. Lots of potential here and I hope to see more added to my collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The candy mermaid beat box from lego is awesome. I was very skeptical at first because you have to download an app to play with it, but the app was very easy to set up and use and my daughter had a blast with it. You just put the lego character together and the stage. It only takes about 10 minutes, then scan it into the app and your off. It makes an interactive video with the character and the beat bits are actions the kids can put in the video like flip their hair, jump around, ect. My daughter played it a few times and earned a free band mate. I love that all the pieces are contained in the box for easy storage. Will be getting the other characters to grow her band. It's a great new way to play with Legos!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free product of Lego VIDIYO Candy Mermaid BeatBox form tryitsampling and I loved it! This is a very cool invention and idea. Perfect for strengthen the imagination in kids. If your child like music, making videos and doing remix with special effects. This is the toy to start with. Very easy to assemble. You need a smart phone to be able to use the app. Easy to transport and have fun anywhere. Be spontaneous!

Not that fun

I got this set for my daughter and it was not fun. First of all I don't like the idea that the play is on a screen and you have to have a expensive device . I definitely do not recommend this.

My daughter loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter enjoyed building the little decoration on the box. She also likes the mermaid figurine. The app to make a video was a big pain. It wouldn’t work on my daughters I pad so I had to download it on my phone. Every time you want to make a video you have to scan the little figurine with the special effects tiles. It’s quite annoying and the special affects are only okay.
