Frustrating Problems
on August 4, 2020
Posted by: Groundhog
It was a steady build if you take your time. I never let myself do more then 1 hour and 15 minutes a day . More to relax and enjoy the build. There were 2 real frustrating things that got me upset and hope others may hesitate on getting this Porsche. 1) All the packets came without numbers and the build was NOT in sections like all the other ones I have built(35 sets). So, I had 19 packets without any numbers on the packets which delayed the build by 5 days for me. Frustrating; especially when you had to get tiny pieces that they had meted out to several different packets. 2) The other problem was with a missing piece. Not something small that you would have if you save the extra ones from other builds, but a large significant piece; which holds up the back tail that attaches to the rear end. Item # 4128593. And not only that; when I went online to order the missing piece they said it did not exist. Online they changed the number on the piece which caused so much confusion. Still looks good. As on any Technics set; precision is important when you build.

Some of our sets don't include numbered bags. This can definitely prove to be an extra challenge! We're glad to hear you were able to complete the set.
We're sorry to hear you were missing a part. It sounds like you've already taken the right steps. If you can't find a specific piece on the website, you can always contact our Customer Service team at LEGO.build/Service-BV and they'll be happy to help.

Super Fun Build

This was a gift to me and was it a blast to build. Nice details and fun if you have built a few kits before this one. It was my 9th LEGO build and was probably the most exciting.

Generally good with minor flaws
on June 1, 2020

I was trying to find things to do with the shelter in place situation and decided to pick up Lego which I have not played since I was a kid. This was my first Technic set and it was very fun to build. I immediately fell in love with this theme and placed orders for Chiron, 1989 Batmobile (I know, this is not Technic) and the new Lamborghini Sian recently.
Generally speaking, the 911 RSR looks awesome with a lot of interesting details. However, some flaws are that the headlights look ugly, and that it is hard to play with the wheel. Also, the interior looks hollow but it is expected as there are only 1500 pieces (3000+ for Chiron with similar size).
In summary, though I expected it to be a bit better, this 911 RSR is a good value for a 1:9 (I think) track car and I would recommend it.

Organize

I really enjoyed this set! Costumers are complaining about the bags not #. I liked it but sets don’t need to get much bigger without # bags. The unnumbered bags helps children understand organization skills while having fit with Legos. Oh and the car is really cool looking!

Awesome and who needs numbered bags??

So... No numbered bags? That's ok. If you've built a "few" LEGO sets than your probably familiar with the pieces and no numbered bags might be a more challenging build, but not necessarily bad or wrong. Ask my wife, I pouted about this the first time I encountered a LEGO build with no numbered bags. I soon got over it and honestly, if your an "expert" builder, you should too. With that said, I love all of the Technic cars and builds, from the Corvette up to the Bugatti. If you love LEGOS and cars, this is a no brainer. Get it.

Very Fun Build

This was my first “big” technic set that I’ve built. The other one being the smaller blue McClaren. I’m recovering from a work injury which required surgery, so I started getting back into Legos as a way to pass time and we’ll as stay off my feet. I worked on this for about 3 days off and on. I had a blast building it. My only gripe was the bags were not numbered. Once I sorted the pieces out into Tupperware containers it was smooth sailing. Other than that, this is a great model for the price. I really want the Bugatti and the Lambo, but for the price, I’m gonna have to wait. I am truly enjoying my new hobby as much as I did as a kid growing up.

Amazing

The Porsche 911 RSR set is my favorite set that I’ve ever owned. It’s incredibly detailed and has a lot of neat features. I definitely got my money’s worth from this set. The only negative to the set is that it would help if there was numbering on the bags so you wouldn’t have to take all the pieces out at once. Other than that. I love it!
