Poor design...

GDT550HGD purchased December 2011. I have replaced the heating element 2016. I will be replacing the inter door due to leakage. Washer is quite. Washer is not designed for hard water areas. Hard water area will shorten the life of this machine. Place water filter and softener on water inlet and do not use liquid detergent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So Quiet!

I'm really loving how quiet this dishwasher is; I do wish the silverware basket openings were wider for my large forks, but there's an option to open the basket top, as well.

No matter how we load or even run it with nothing in it, the soap stays on the door and does not run down in to the wash. Would not recommend.

Pretty good but...

This will be the second time I need service. The first time was a week after installation and the board went bad. It appears now the pump has failed and our kitchen was inundated with water. All in all it is a good machine. I'm just disappointed with the inconvenience.
