Nice when it works …Needs frequent service calls

We bought this dishwasher nearly 6 months ago and are on our 3 service call. Frankly I'm surprised to see all the positive reviews. When it works, it's quite and does a good job but it breaks down so easily it's ridiculous. I'd trade it in for something else except we are very limited to the size of dishwasher to fit in a smaller space than normal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So quiet!

We've had this dishwasher for 2 months. It is very quiet and does a good job. We moved the top silverware rack to the inside bottom rack because it wasn't getting fully clean. That solved the problem. I'd also recommend using tab or pod detergent and not liquid.

We've been using this dishwasher for about 4 months, since replacing the 1st one that did not work & have not had any problems.

Great appearance. Plastic silverware trays not very sturdy and design requires you to hold the dirty part of the utensil to load. Will not dry unless drying agent used. Very quiet and it does clean great. Good value for the cost

Really Really pleased with this dishwasher

In the past 10 years, I have had 3 dishwashers. This one cost nearly half of what I paid for the last one. I was on a mission to find an excellent dishwasher for less than $900. Consumer Reports raved about the GE dishwashers for cleaning AND drying. I really wanted one with dry dishes after a drying cycle. This dishwasher has exceeded my expectations. I was worried that I wouldn't like the silverware baskets on both racks - it has worked out very well. The silverware isn't all cramped up, everything gets clean. I have stopped essentially washing dishes before putting into the dishwasher - peanut butter is coming off the knives, spatulas are getting clean, plastics are dry, it's quiet. I don't care that the tub is plastic - the only part of the dishwasher I see is the inside of door, and that's stainless - good enough for me. A really good value, as long as keeps working as it is now. Maybe we should get prompted 5 years from now to do another review to make sure we're still as happy as we are now.
