Nice dishwasher with minor flaws

Good points - Bad points

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher is so quiet that we have to listen to ensure that it is running - GREAT! However we find that the silverware sometimes comes out spotty, and is normally not fully dry. Our previous GE Profile was excellent, but noisier than this model. Also the top rack has so many twists and turns (the rack does not have a flat bottom, which makes it difficult to load glasses without having them falling against each other - we've already chipped three pieces of crystal! We've got to be very very careful when loading glassware. I don't know why they didn't make it plane flat so that glasses could stand upright without tipping.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the looks and love the two silverware baskets. Still getting used to the layout of the lower rack which I think will be fine. It's just different than last dishwasher. Also love you can run upper or lower rack only. Dishes are clean and shiny when they come out !!!! And it's sooooooo quiet
Wish the whole tub was stainless but I'm sure that would raise price.
Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've always been very satisfied with GE in the past. As a compliment and to be positive, this is the quietest dishwasher I've seen, without exception.
However, we would prefer more selections in the wash time. It runs more than 2 and a half hours to clean the dishes. The lowest setting is 133, which must be 133 minutes for washing not to mention the drying time.
The manual doesn't give enough info to trouble shoot the operation. I don't know if it's running too long or not. As I mentioned above, I don't know what the readout of 133 really means. I think it will cost a lot more than the sticker said to run this dishwasher for a year.
With this dishwasher being so automatic, perhaps the settings could be limited to simply ON/OFF.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Drying...

I have not cared for this dishwasher as much as I had hoped I would. The baskets come off too easily and the trays slide off the tracks as well. But my biggest issue is the lack of drying power. I have done everythng I can including having a service call and have determined the dishwasher simply does not have much drying power.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
