It's nice when it works, but it rarely works

This product simply doesn't keep its connection. It takes several tries unplugging and plugging it back in with both the extender cable or native port, and still somedays it just doesn't connect at all. I've had zero problems with other USBC connections so I have to assume it's the poor quality of this hub that's the problem.

Gets warm and emits strange odor when using

So far using this hub is great, but hub gets warm at times pre update of firmware. After updating firmware, i have yet to experience this. The hub still emits a strange scent when it is plugged to my iPad though.

Works like a charm. Much better than the other hubs on the market and worth the extra few bucks. If there's any downside it's the file limitation imposed by iOS 12. Here's hoping iOS 13 will allow better file management. I'd recommend this USB C hub above any others. Glad Kickstarter was around to crowd fund this item.

The device is well made and comes with the extension cable if you'd rather not attach it directly to the iPad.
