Shattered Glass Door

It has been installed for well over a month and still can't use it. Interior glass in door shattered during pre-heating on first use. Replacement glass received but still waiting for service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great side swing, but lots to learn

Love the side swing doors and the iPhone capabilities. That feature is not for everyone, but it does have to be setup online through your wifi for updates etc. I haven't used all features and am still looking for the "broil" button. Says it's soft close but both doors are hard to open and definitely require a real push to close. Still trying to get this resolved. Had one tech come out and he said he didn't think they were supposed to be soft close, but the add certainly shows it to be.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Product malfunctioned under warranty, NOT covered

Bottom oven has never worked properly, and keeps overheating and shutting off whenever it is used. This issue was brought up to GE while under warranty, and they sent someone out to "fix it" but it didn't solve the issue. By the time they were notified again that the fix didn't work, the warranty date had passed and they refused to address it any further. We also had an extended warranty purchased through GE which we have repeatedly attempted to use to fix the problem, also to no avail. At this point it's been over a year of a malfunctioning double oven in while only 1 oven works and the other is just a wall decoration. Very disappointing. Will never purchase GE again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Still trying to figure everything out, but loving it so far! I am a baker and use my oven a LOT. I very much appreciate the doors opening to the left. Love the features and special settings for cake/cookies.

Great oven!

I purchased this oven because I am short & hate leaning over a hot door to pull things out of the oven. I also wanted an oven that does air fry. I love the functioning of this oven & would have given it 5 stars for that. What I do not like is that it must be attached to WiFi for some of the features to work & that it monitors thru an app what I am doing. What the heck does GE or anyone else need to know that for??
It's beautiful, does a splendid job of cooking but the Big Brother features I could really do without. If I had know that it was going to be required for it to have all of the expensive functions I would've passed.

Beautiful and Functional

We love our new side open oven! It is both beautiful and functional and so far it has made us feel like we are better cooks! It is easy to use and with the side door opening - it is easy to check the food and get the food in and out without breaking our backs. We are still waiting on countertops and backsplash - but we have already been able to enjoy this oven as I am sure we will for years to come!

Is it wrong to love an oven?

I love, love, love my new double oven. It was a replacement for an existing Fridgidaire oven which was on the fritz. I am short. I was tired of burning my arms trying to navigate into the oven, and was longing for a side opening model. This is perfect. The doors stay put when you open them and it is easy to place and remove things in the oven. I love to bake macarons and am able to bake 3 trays on the multi-tray convection setting. The airfyer works like a dream. And, YES, you can fit a large turkey into either oven. They are 5.0 cubic feet! The slide out oven rack is a fabulous feature and you can baste your roasts without having to pull the pan out of the oven. My only criticism is that there are only 4 trays for both ovens. Two pullout and two traditional racks.
I thought I wouldn't use the wireless feature, but that too is great. You can be in another room and get your notices when time is up or the oven has come to temperature. It's simple to change the temp or other settings from your phone. Previous comments said you can only turn the airfryer feature on from the app, but that seems to have changed.
Yes, it's a bit expensive, but worth every penny.

Love side swing but not soft close as video/specs

Absolutely love the left hand swing, but as per the online video, it is NOT soft close. I had a GE tech come to inspect in case it was installed incorrectly by the cabinet installer, but the tech believes it's not really designed to be soft close because of the hinge the door closes on to has too big a dip in it. Not too sure about all the wifi capabilities and/or Sabbath mode, but I just got it...in time....
