Within hours of use, the PC started glitching with breaks on the screen, black spots, and static screens. The only systems I was running were Office, OneDrive, and Chrome. Nothing out of the ordinary. This was extremely disappointing with a brand new laptop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Kathy,
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Below I have provided steps to perform a hard reset if this should happen again. We also recommend running a hardware diagnostic test. I have provided the link below.
1. Power off the laptop. Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. 2. Disconnect the AC adapter or power cord, and remove the battery. Note: For Dell laptops that have a non-removable battery, see the Dell knowledge base article How to reset Real Time Clock (RTC) to recover your Dell XPS, Dell Latitude, or Dell Precision laptop. Note: For certain Dell Latitude laptops, we recommend you try and recover the laptop using the forced ePSA method. See the Dell knowledge base article How to Use Forced ePSA to Recover from POST or Boot Failure. 3. Disconnect all external devices or peripherals like USB drives, printer cables, and media cards (SD/xD). 4. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain residual power. 5. Connect the AC adapter or power cord and the battery. 6. Power on the laptop. Full Article: https://dell.to/3iIh4GY

This laptop has no flaws. Game changing Tiger lake CPU with Xe graphics. Fast RAM speeds. Very fast disk speeds. Bright and sharp 4k HDR display with seamless bezels. Silent tactile full-size keyboard. And tons more. All packed in a miraculously small package. A big thank you to all the people who made this product possible!
An expected feature was missing possibly due to being overwritten by an update. Dell responded quickly and provided the link to download the package which fixed the issue. Support then followed up to see if the problem was resolved. Good support!
Everything is perfect until you turn on your video

This laptop is ALMOST the perfect package. The size, compactness, power, and beautiful screen is all amazing. But when you turn on your camera or video, the quality is terrible. It is so terrible that I may not even get a Dell next time. My Mac from 5 years ago blows this camera away, which is embarrassing. Especially in a time when all we do is meet virtually.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great build quality, good performance and battery life, bad drivers and bloatware

The unboxing experience is great and the build quality is excellent. The performance and battery life live up to the "ultrabook" name. My biggest complaints have to do with the preinstalled drivers, specifically the display drivers. I had multiple issues with hardware accelerated video playback as well as 3D applications looking absolutely terrible. All videos and 3D applicatoins had distortion, pixelation, and artifacts resembling chromatic aberration. I had to uninstall the display drivers and let Windows Update install the latest default Windows display drivers. Now everything works as expected, but I wouldn't expect the average user to know how to fix these issues.
