having the pellet sensor is very useful but yet another example of Treager nickel and diming you, this should 100% be built into the grill and come standard. I ran out of pellets mid cooking shortly after getting my grill and could not believe this feature did not come standard.

Pellet sensor is not necessary, waste of $, all you need to do is look in the box before turning it on or while using it

Disappointing that this isn’t included on their “pro” series. I’m new to the smoking scene and so far love my Traeger and everything I’ve got for it but but feel like I’m being nickeled and dimed when I have to buy these things separate.

Helpful but annoying

Came with my grill, nice option but annoying. Wish it could be adjustable to a lower level. Once pellets are just below the grate it alerts you. Should alert when you have say a 1/4th of hopper left or a couple of hours of burn time left. Perhaps a mute / ignore option.
