CORE APPS GONE!

This is my dream television, It was a gift after my mother passed away. I first noticed right away that the remote was delayed, by more than just a few seconds. I couldn’t tell if the tv was on or off until I enabled the light indicator. The core apps would show up as normal at first, then after a few days, the will not display. I have factory rebooted, I have researched and read hundreds of articles with absolutely no luck. The only apps I can get to launch are the ones on the remote, unless I use SmartCast. So it’s not that something has blown, the core apps just will NOT appear unless there is a direct button for them. This tv was almost 2 grand. This is unacceptable. I’m at a loss. Contacting Vizio finally to see if this can be resolved. I am very keen on updated technology as well as old school. I have an extensive WiFi system in my home that I personally installed, hence there is NO reason why I cannot find a solution to this if there was one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Quality for the price

Great gift i got for christmas, even better with all the features and supports, Dolby Vision\HDR10 is stunning with the addition of the built-in speakers. Must consider if looking for a Great Quality tv for a decent price loeaded with features and technologies up to date which support all next generation consoles.

I am coming from a 2007 Samsung 52" 1080p to this new Vizio. My primary entertainment came from a PS4 Pro so I was never able to utilize the higher resolutions and HDR. When the HDR kicks in, it is beautiful. Everything on it has been great so far except for the ARC back to my Denon AVR-1912 receiver. It is garbled and 'chipmunkish' if coming over an HDMI from there. I may try downgrading the cables from Ultra high to high just for the ARC back to receiver as a test. As for the picture, blacks are black! slight bloom around bright scenes on a dark backdrop but some slight adjustments makes that minimal. It is working great! I hope not to have any future issues as I did buy the extended warranty after hearing of some items that caused returns. A few firmware updates and this baby will be top notch!

Excellent picture quality

I’ve had this tv for over 6 months and the picture quality is amazing. The only missing is an awesome sound bar to match. (Our next purchase). The remote is a little difficult to input but we hardly use it with our other devices so it isn’t an issue for us.

Fantastic Display

I have seen mixed reviews on Vizio's latest products but having now owned my 3rd (I have a 70 and 40 inch also) I can tell you this 85 inch display has fantastic colors. I can watch it no matter the lighting condition and all the the 4K features such as HDR work as advertised. It is a heavy TV to install but once you have completed that task you will certainly enjoy the results.
