I have this dishwasher less than a year. The front door is very poor quality. I'm afraid the front door will fall off when I open the dishwasher. I had a lot of issues with the controls. Dishes is not always clean.

We want to help out with the door, controls, and with the cleaning performance you are noticing. You can check through this article for tips that can help maximize the cleaning performance: (https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38933).
As for the controls, we suggest trying an electronic reset. This can be done by removing the power cord for 2-3 minutes then plugging it back in. You can also do this at the breaker. We do suggest scheduling a technician to diagnose the door issue. You can do so by calling 1-800-432-2737 or by visiting this link: (https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm).
The rubber coating on both the top and bottom racks began tearing and rusting just after the first year. Where the rubber has been exposed, rust has now formed and causing some of the rack tines to become very pointed and have poked me and my family members when trying to load or unload. It is a shame because the machine washes very well and have had had zero issues. Do not recommend.

We'd like to assist you with your dishwasher racks rusting. You can anticipate receiving an email from a member of our team to request more information. Please respond as soon as possible.
Dishwasher works great. Only gripe is with its drying capabilities. Does not completely dry without rinse aid. And another one that's a nitpick is that it does not have a delay to set before bed.
Dishwasher definitely cleans the dishes. Not sure at this time if the dishwasher cleans heavy dirtied pots and pans. My only complaint is that the door is light and cheaply made.
This model was bought for my new build construction home in mid 2020. I would love to give this a higher review unfortunately I cannot. As with similar reviews noted here, my dishwasher racks have rusted and the coating is falling off in places. The dishwasher is not old enough to need to be replaced, but it's looking like it will be cheaper to replace than to get new racks. Extremely disappointed.

We understand an issue with your racks rusting must be concerning. We’d like to help. We’ll be reaching out over email to discuss this situation further, and we hope to hear from you again soon.
The control buttons have to be pressed really hard to get it to work. It takes a very long time to complete the wash and dry cycle.

Dishwashers today may take longer on their wash cycles, but they are more efficient than your previous unit may have been. The U.S. Department of Energy, the EPA Energy Star program, and consumer demand has driven dishwasher manufacturers to make dishwashers much more energy and water efficient over the last several years. But there are always tradeoffs to using less energy and water. Longer wash cycles will actually lower the energy consumption. It’s a little counter-intuitive, most people experiencing a long cycle will imagine the power meter spinning out of control. However, the truth is that it’s much more efficient to take less water from the water heater and run the dishwasher longer. The bottom line is that the price of high efficiency is longer wash cycles. Note: If you feel the dishwasher controls are too hard to press, we recommend taking advantage of your warranty and reach out to Bodewell Service by calling 1-833-426-3393.
