Contractor grade garbage
on May 16, 2025

This was installed in a new house we had built as part of an appliance package. 1.5 years later it died. will not light up nothing just died mid cycle. looks brand new still but unfortunately this is typical for GE products. We did not have a choice in upgrading them to another brand or we would have. Out new microwave from GE has a broken handle as well. General warranty is 1 year and home warranty is expired as well. Run away from these low contractor grade appliances

6 Months and Both Racks Rusted!
on May 28, 2025

from Texas
Boy, this is not a good quality dishwasher, it came with our home and we got other good quality GE appliances but this is not one of them. It is incredibly loud, and if on the normal wash setting it lasts many many hours. Now, just 6 months in to owning the dishwasher, both racks are horribly rusted. The company is replacing the racks, but it is obviously a cheap version put in by builders.

doesn't last

Bought a new construction house 9 months ago, it came with the dishwasher. Now it stopped running. GE says the contractor purchased more then a year ago so it is out of warranty. They know it is new construction and only been used for the 9 months but they still refuse to do anything. Will not be purchasing another GE appliance.

Worst Dishwasher
on June 15, 2025
Posted by: Frustrated GM Mom
I hate this dishwasher! The capacity is small and the wracks are rusting. We use it daily for 3yrs when we moved into a brand new house. I’m guessing the builders installed the cheapest dishwasher. Our neighbors have had the same issue. We didn’t have to replace our last dishwasher at our old house for 13yrs and only because the motor went out.

Avoid!

Product deserves a zero rating. After six months of minimal use, seals not holding causing huge leakage on kitchen floor. Door and structure flimsy at best. Unit included in a new home build, total waste and heading to the junkyard. Would rather hand wash dishes than have this junk in my home .

This dishwasher washer was purchased installed at my newly built home in July 2022 and completely stopped working July 2025. This was the worst dishwasher that i have owned and only used it 2-3 times per week and already broken. I didnt have service come out due to the cost of the service vs a new purchase. It will run for 7 minutes and shutoff and error out

Nothing

Does not dry all the way. Always wet inside. So we have to leave it open to dry out. Detergent dispenser leaks as soon as we put detergent in it. Takes to long to cycle. Bottom rack does not fit correctly. Most of the Q&A on this product are all issues. The racks are poorly designed. It is a horrible product. Do not buy it.

We'd like to assist you with your dishwasher's drying performance. This unit has a dry boost feature which significantly improves the drying performance. If selecting dry boost doesn't help, there are a few things you can try, like making sure your rinse aid dispenser is full and the cap is fitted and functioning properly. You can also inspect the vent and clean off any debris that may be restricting airflow. For further troubleshooting, see here: https://repair.geappliances.com/resources/faq/article/why-is-my-dishwasher-not-drying
It is normal for your dishwasher to run for up to two hours or more under certain conditions. Cycle times vary based on soil level, water temperature, and options selected. You can check out the article below for more information: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18914#:~:text=It%20is%20normal%20for%20many%20Dishwashers%20to,add%20to%20the%20total%20wash%20cycle%20time.
If the racks are don't seem to roll out properly or they are sticking, we recommend trying the tips in the link here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38988
With the detergent leaking, be sure the dispenser is cleaned out from the use of previous detergent. If it continues to leak, you can schedule a service appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-426-3393 or schedule online at https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service
