We'd like to assist with your new dishwasher's cleaning performance. It's important that you use high quality detergents such as Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent to ensure the best detergent performance. Additionally, you'll want to make sure your dishes are being loaded properly to ensure the large dishware does not block the detergent dispenser or the wash arms. We recommend you review the "Loading" section on pages 11-15 here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--EszXjA26--/2ee1c206fc195cd1717cedf8b41e2ab95579670c.pdf - If this doesn't prove helpful, you can find additional tips in the "Dishes and flatware not clean" section on pg. 19 of the Owner's Manual.

Smelly

I don’t even know if it’s clean. It’s all plastic inside and out. Came with the house. It’s smelly makes the dishes smell like chemicals. I’ve ran it a few times, thoroughly cleaned it. Idk what’s up with it it’s the plastic on the inside I believe.

The processes used during manufacturing often may leave a "newness" odor that may not dissipate until after several washing cycles. This condition is completely normal. You can alleviate this condition by running the dishwasher through several cycles using detergent. If you continue to have issues, please reach out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. Dish washer doesn't work

Installed dish washer in new house - went to turn it on and it doesn't work. Called GE and they can't get anyone out to even look at it until next month.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you wanted to try any troubleshooting in the meantime, checking the fuse or circuit breaker to make sure enough power is reaching the unit, and the control panel to make sure it isn’t locked, can sometimes help when the dishwasher isn’t running at all. I have had it a year and it needs to be serviced. I had a I had a home built, so I dishwasher came standard with the house.

I discovered that this dish washer came new but it has a missing screws where the upper hose assembly connects to the top spinner. Also, the top spinner assembly clip has been broken off and could not be held in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Builder Installed Dishwasher

I've had several GE dishwashers in the past but they were much quieter than this one. I don't care for the way the door keeps popping up when I'm loading the dishwasher because the door is so light. This is not a model that has any special features, but it washes my dishes and for now that's all I care about.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
