Rusting racks and long wash times
on January 11, 2025
Posted by: RakB
Rating low due to racks rusting. Dishwasher was installed in new construction home, 2020 and started rusting within <1 year. Rusting initially appeared on top rack and is now visible on lower rack. All items washed are dishwasher safe (glass, plastics, silicon)
1 hour wash does not fully wash small loads. It is similar to a rinse cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Less than 5 years and the racks all with rust spots. Every single point of the racks have rust spots. Unbelievable. Dishwasher came with my home I bought in 2020 (new built)

Poor at best

Do you like to hand wash dishes? This is the appliance for you. Want a dishwasher that helps with the workload by cleaning dishes and glasses? Best try another product. We have had this dishwasher for less than a year and I can count on my hand the amount of times I haven’t had to rewash items. Followed all the online tools and tips, pre-soak and rinse dishes and the top shelf still comes out dirty. Only gets one star because there is no option for zero. Will be replacing it asap.

Entry Level Dishwasher
on April 4, 2025

This Dishwasher came with our American Richmond homes. It is loud and feels very cheap. The door is very flimsy, thin, and light. Tracks are beginning to rust after 6 months. After using a high quality dishwasher for years, the differences are very noticeable. It does well for what it is, though.

Poorly made
on April 18, 2025

1) The bottom rack does not roll on the tracks correctly. 2)Also the bottom foot plate keeps popping out when opening the door.3) The water sprayer is loose and because of the bottom rack not sitting correctly, the sprayer can get hung up by the rack and not twirl around as it should.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the design and materials of your new dishwasher. If the bottom rack is sliding out too easily, it may help to check that the dishwasher is level. Step-by-step leveling instructions can be found in Step 11 on page 10 of the Installation Instructions, which can improve stability and performance: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--E7nOqfrD--/d63567c046d3fcf6a466d940bd65de4141e3e615.pdf -- If your unit is leveled front to back and side to side and you are still experiencing this issue, service may be needed. You can schedule an appointment by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) M-F 8AM-8PM ET, Sat-Sun: Closed or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
