Disappointing

The product seems cheaply made especially the plastic interior. This unit is either a smaller capacity or designed so that it seems to be the case. Dishes must also be dried upon removal no matter how long they sit after the cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on your new GE Appliances dishwasher. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the door latch, and the dishes not coming out completely dry once the cycle is complete. We're happy to provide some guidance!
To minimize the possibility of electric shock, unplug the appliance from the power supply before attempting any maintenance or cleaning or turn the house circuit breakers/fuses to the off position.
If the dishwasher door will not latch on a new installation, there are a few things to check to remedy the situation:
- Close the door and check both sides and the top of the door. If the door is hitting the cabinets or screws under the counter, contact your installer to correct this or consult the Installation Instructions for your dishwasher. - On a new dishwasher, it may be necessary to push in on the top center of the control panel while latching the door because the gasket is new and still very stiff. New gaskets may have not had an opportunity to seat properly. - Up to ten dishwasher cycles may be required for the wash heat to help mold and seat the gasket. The gasket will become more pliable after a few uses.
As for the dishwasher not drying properly, we recommend reviewing the article at the link below for troubleshooting information:
If you continue to experience issues with your dishwasher, we recommend scheduling a service appointment with our factory service team. You can schedule an appointment by calling the service department directly at 1-800-432-2737, or by scheduling online at the following link: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.ht

DO NOT BUY! Lower rack system terribly designed.
on September 20, 2023

The lower rack is cheaply and terribly designed. The guiding rail system should make the rack effortlessly glide in and out of the dishwasher. Instead it flies all over the place and is a struggle to push in and out of the unit.
Don't buy this dishwasher. The frustration of the lower rack isn't worth it for the constant struggle day after day year after year.

Hello - Thank you so much for taking a moment to connect and share your review. We're sorry that this dishwasher hasn't been meeting your expectations. That is not the experience we want or expect.
With this in mind, we are going to forward this over to our product team for review. This way they can review everything and keep this in mind for our models going forward. We also recommend checking to make sure there are no loose parts along the track and that the rollers are set in place.
Let us know if you have any questions, we're always happy to help. - Jonathon@GEAppliances

Works well but the bottom drawer is quite flimsy and comes off the track almost every time I open it. Cleans well though.

Current not working, waiting for service/repair

Hard to judge since it only worked for 2 weeks and then didn't. Electronic issue, probably stuck in reboot mode. When it did work, what it didn't use in water and electicity, it made up for in time. A regular cycle and load (GE recommends doing only full loads) takes 60-90 minutes! If it needs to be replaced, who pays for the plumber?
