The dishwasher is nice. It washes very well. It doesn't dry the dishes very well and the door is very flimsy.

Hi - Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your GE dishwasher. We are happy you are pleased with the wash performance of the unit. Like you, we are concerned about your comments regarding the dry performance. There are some tips we can suggest you may find helpful:
- Water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance. Run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. - Make sure you are using a rinse aid as described on Page 8 of your Owner's Manual - Use the Wash Heat Boost option as this will increase the water temperature which in turn will evaporate the water off the dishes more quickly - Utilize one of the Dry Heat Boost options available on this model
Bear in mind using the Dry Heat Boost options will add additional time to the overall cycle time.
For additional information please review the Owner's Manual here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000218.pdf
We do hope you find this information helpful. All our best! Vikki@GEA
This camecwilth our new construction house and I’m greatly disappointed. The bottom rack tine rows are configured such that small saucer-sized plates will only go on one side, the other side has the time rows too far apart. If the tine rows were spaced evenly, and additional row could be incorporated for better plate/bowl placement. The silverware basket takes up part of the bottom rack instead of attaching to the door, further decreasing the capacity. The upper rack is ok, but each column of space is differently sized.

Hello there, we're very sorry to see you're disappointed with the organization of your new dishwasher. This is certainly not the reaction we want from our consumers, so we'll be passing your review along to our team for future consideration.
We're wishing you the best and appreciate the honest feedback.
The plastic seal around interior door is loose and displaced. Start button is flimsy difficult to start.

We hope this is resolved for you soon. - Sharon@GEA
Doesn’t clean as well as I would like. The door is missing hydraulic features. When I open the door it falls down really fast and that’s a safety hazard.
Features are very simple. Not the best quality. I noticed after my first couple of washes my dishes were wet after a day (not sure what happened to drying cycle). And the dishwasher had that watery mildewy smell to it.

Hello. We are sorry to hear about the issues you have had. This is not the experience we would want you to have. Here is a link about dishwashers and poor drying. https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451 -- Also We would suggest checking the installation of the drain hose to make sure it was installed properly per the installs. If an air gap is not required, the drain hose must have a 32" high loop from the floor. Please check the following about dishwasher odors. https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16270 -- Hope this helps your situation. Stay well. Geoff@GEA
