The gaskets on our dishwashers run down both sides and tuck in at the bottom of the door. There is also a gap at the bottom of the door where the gasket does not meet. This is the normal design of the door gasket to allow for proper air venting.

We'd like to assist with the your dishwasher's lower rack not staying on the rails. It's extremely important that you don't overload your dishwasher racks when loading dishes. Our dishwasher upper racks are life-tested to handle a 30 lb. load; Lower racks are tested to handle a 50 lb. load.
