Hi there. Your review and comments are greatly appreciated. We apologize if your dishwasher has not lived up to its name and know how disappointing this can be with a new appliance. The interior is a heavy-duty plastic that is extremely long-lasting, durable and has an American Gray finish.
If the door is not closing well, please check out this very helpful article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38904 We recommend checking the leveling of the dishwasher as it is new. If not leveled properly, the door may not close easily or the racks may roll forward against the door, making it hard to close. Leveling instructions can be found on page 10 of the installation manual here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-4000220-4.pdf
We hope this helps and you stay in touch. - John@GEA
The dishwasher is good for what it’s worth. It will get the job done. However it’s not flashy with all the buttons and sounds. And the door feels cheap. Again for what it’s worth.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I guess it’s been awhile since I’ve purchased a d/w. I was a little surprised at the cost. It’s basic . No delay, quiet enough, everything is so plastic & breakable. It does get the dishes clean so it does function well thus far.
My new construction home came with GE appliances and this was my first dishwasher. I really enjoy the ease of operation and it cleanse the dishes well.
It does it's job. The heat setting for drying doesn't work as well. Sometimes our dishes (tupperware containers, larger pots and pans, and some items on the top rack) are still wet despite using the heat setting for the drying cycle. The door is also a bit hard to close at times. Have to give it a little push. It does NOT show what part of the cycle it's on, which kind of stinks as that helps me determine how long the load is going to take, and if I need to handwash something or not.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there! Thank you for the feedback on your dishwasher! We're sorry it's not getting those dishes dry like it should. For the best drying performance, we recommend making sure the incoming water is at least 120 degrees. Be sure to use any setting that adds heat or dry features like your Dry Boost. Finally, using a high quality rinse aid goes a long way in getting that water off your clean dishes.
If the door is hard to shut, make sure the unit was installed properly and leveled. The door may be hitting the counter or cabinets or the racks could be rolling out if the dishwasher is not level. We hope this helps! – John@GEA
This product is mostly plastic and stopped working for us pretty much after 2 months of use. Power was fine, reset the breaker, trouble shot everything we could and it doesn’t turn on.
