Broken and it’s been a month

Bought a brand new home. And whoever installed the dishwasher installed it broken. Very disappointing and a beyond frustrating experience. On the other hand it’s very cheaply made and will be purchasing a new one soon. Never had GE before and most likely will buy something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Basic, and junk

We have to prewash dishes and also sometimes run the thing again just to get dishes clean. Every time we open it after it’s”clean” the soap pod doesn’t even get dissolved. Not impressed with basic junk.

If the detergent is not dissolving, you may want to make sure no dishes are blocking the dispenser and preventing the detergent from being added to the wash. Making sure the water temperature is at least 120 degrees F is an important factor in the cleaning performance as well. Checking the filter and the wash arms to ensure they're turning on their own may also help.

Simple is better ~ a lot better!

We purchased this GE dishwasher for several reasons the first of which is simplicity. This replacement is for an LG unit which had numerous features we never used. In the course of time the sophistication of the LG led to it's demise. The second reason for choosing this GE was "bang for the buck". For a reasonable price we have a dishwasher that works quite well. The downside to purchasing this model is having to reuse the power cord from the earlier unit and the leveling was something of a problem due to inaccessibility of the rear leveling feet. But overall we are very pleased with our choice.

I have never used a dish washer before. I've always liked to do my dishes by hand. I find that the dishwasher do not clean as well. Right now I use it to dry my dishes.
