Hi there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. We hate to hear you are experiencing issues with poor performance, especially on such a new dishwasher. We know an issue like that would be frustrating and would like to assist.
In order to ensure the best possible wash performance, you may want to make sure that the water is at least 120 degrees F. You can check this at the kitchen sink and may want to run the water for a short time before usage to ensure it's hot enough. Use of a detergent or rinse aid may also help make sure your glasses are fully clean; this will improve the flow off from items and reduce any build up after the cycle is done. Other possible solutions for an issue with wash performance are located here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17452
If you continue to have issues after following these steps, a service appointment may be the best option for you, especially as you're in your warranty period. You can reach our service department at 1-800-432-2737 M – F 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET and on weekends from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET. If you prefer, you can also schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
We hope this information helps with getting your dishwasher in great working order, and are happy to welcome you to our GE Appliances Family. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA

Two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. When using the normal setting on the dry cycle everything is still real wet, especially the plastic things in the top. Second, my old dishwasher had the utensil basket on the door which allowed more space for big items in the bottom. Just something I will have to get used to, it does not hold as much.

plan to replace within 2 years

Cleans fine BUT both the top and bottom racks start to fall apart within 1-2 years. The rack coating beings to break off exposing metal which rusts. This has permanently stained dishes. Also pretty loud compared to other dishwashers we have owned.

Hello and thanks so much for the feedback on your dishwasher. We apologize your racks have seen some damage and have begun to rust. To prevent this, make sure sharp objects are not placed directly on the rack and plates and other objects are loaded gently. Some more tips and advice on how to get rust stains out can be found here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17552
We hope this helps and you keep in touch. - John@GEA

Does the dishes and dries them too! Which would be obvious, except our old one had to have everything pre-washed before using the dishwasher to sanitize them.

This dishwasher is possessed. The control panel apparently locks when a cycle is completed which makes no sense and then it randomly started running WHILE I was loading it. I would take it back if I could.

Hello there, we're terribly sorry to hear your dishwasher has been locking and running when it's not supposed to. We can only imagine how worrisome this must be for you as we'd never expect this. We first suggest you disconnect power to the unit for 2-3 minutes to reset the controls.
If the problem persists, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) or by clicking here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
We hope you find this useful, Guy@GEA
