Hi there,

Thank you for taking some time to write about your dishwasher. We're incredibly sorry to hear that some of the features are not working and that a spray arm broke. It's understandable how that would be incredibly annoying and how the performance would have an impact. Please take a look at these articles to help improve some performance.

Easy to use!

This dishwasher is easy to use and washes my dishes amazingly. The only thing that would make it better would be if the bottom rack stayed on the track.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A problem from the start
on July 11, 2022

This dishwasher was chosen by a builder to be installed in our new-build home as part of an appliance package. In all fairness, my dishes generally always came out clean, but almost never completely dry. From the moment we moved in, we could tell this machine was not of excellent build quality. It runs very loud and echoes throughout our home. Within about a month, the door was difficult to close / misaligned, and there were some small but visible patches of rust appearing on the dish racks. Upon opening the door after a cycle, the "clean" light did not turn off, ultimately a problem that did not allow for a new cycle to be started. After some online research, we discovered that there is a toggle at the top of the machine that can be used manually, and we decided we could live with this manual toggling, though it was extremely disappointing to have to compromise on a brand new unit. Last night was the last straw, when the machine was running and started leaking all over the floor, under our brand new cabinets, and through the subfloor into the basement and HVAC ductwork / insulation. When we paused the cycle and opened the door, the gasket came flying off on the right side. Of course, this happened just over 1 month outside of the 1 year warranty. As it turns out, the stock gasket for this machine is no longer available through GE, and has been replaced with a new model number, so perhaps this was a known issue? I am not sure if it's just a gasket issue or a problem with the way the door is aligned, or a combination of both, but I would never recommend this machine to anyone given the number of issues we've experienced over the past year.

Oh no! This is never something we like to hear, and we can certainly imagine how frustrating it would be to deal with a dishwasher arriving broken, and we are so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused for you. This is not at all up to our usual quality standards.

We would recommend reaching out to your retailer over getting a replacement. If this does not work for you, please feel free to schedule an appointment with our factory service and repair team by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET and Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET, or by visiting https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

We hope this helps, and please feel free to let us know if there are any ways we can assist you in the future. -Elliot@GEA

Bad. Cheap. Plastic.

I already rated this 1 star once, but somehow it was deleted. This dishwasher is junk. Cheap plastic junk. The bottom rack doesn’t even fit and the dishes crash together and the rack comes off the rails when you try to slide the rack out. I can’t believe this is a GE product. I gladly would have paid more for a different one. GE usually has good products, I am shocked this one comes from GE. We have a warranty person coming this week to check it out. My 9 year old started crying when he tried to pull out the rack because the dishes crashed and the rack slid off. He said he’d donate his money he has been saving for four years for a 4 wheeler to buy a new dishwasher because this one is so bad. Do not waste your money!

Utter Piece of Junk
on September 18, 2022
Posted by: WishIBoughtAWhirlpool

I remodeled my kitchen and so regret just telling my contractor to find a dishwasher in my price range instead of doing thorough research myself. The ONLY positive thing about it is that it runs relatively quiet. But there is nothing else of any value in this thing. Unlike my old dishwasher, this one is almost all plastic, and cheap plastic at that. The racks are configured so they only hold certain items, mainly flat dishes, and if you want to put bowls or pots and pans, the rack isn't conducive for them at all. And if you put things with rims, like skillets or storage containers, it doesn't clean them fully. Worst of all, it doesn't dry for jack. Even on the high dry setting, more than 12 hours after running the washer, the walls and more than half the items inside are still coated with condensation. The instructions actually recommend running it on low dry and then leave the door open to finish drying. Are you freakin' kidding me? Leave the door open is their grand plan to dry the dishes? It's obviously a known manufacturing defect they let go and threw a stupid answer in the instructions. I wouldn't recommend this piece of garbage to anyone.

Thanks for leaving a review. We appreciate your comments on this dishwasher and apologize if it hasn't met your expectations. Not being able to fit your dishes in this model comfortably can be frustrating, and we'd like to help with this issue. We suggest looking in the Use and Care manual on page 11 for tips on loading your dishwasher. Here's a link you can use as well:

https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000218-2.pdf&_ga=2.48408942.956914429.1664198451-1349696473.1644011928

If your dishes aren't drying properly, you may have a low inlet water temperature. Please make sure the inlet water temperature is at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. You can find more troubleshooting tips on page 20 of this manual as well. Thanks again for sharing. We hope this helps.
