This dishwasher cleans well but needs insulation to keep noise level lower.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Congratulations on your new dishwasher!
Thank you for choosing GE Appliances for your home. We're so glad to hear that the dishwasher works well, but also very sorry that the noise is bothering you.
There are many sounds you may hear when your dishwasher is in use. Some sounds are normal while others may be abnormal. Abnormal sounds sometimes have easy solutions to eliminate the sound. Here are some of the normal and abnormal sounds you may hear and suggestions to correct abnormal sounds:
The dishwasher works great, the only thing I don't personally like is the stainless steel cover is hard to keep the fingerprints and constant cleaning.
This GE dishwasher came with our new build. It is a standard dishwasher. It gets the job done, however I have a few complaints: 1. the latch to keep the detergent dispenser is already broken (I need to submit a warrantee claim!) 2. The sound... it is very loud! 3. This is a base model, so no bells and whitles. My last dishwasher you could program to start in 1, 2, 3, etc, hours so that it can run while you sleep and you wake up with clean dishes! (Can't start this at night because it would keep me up at night, see #2).
Otherwise it does get the dishes pretty clean and for a dishwasher that does not pop open after the cycle is done, the dishes are pretty dry when the cycle is complete (still wish it popped open!)

It washes but doesn’t dry well. Just bought this new house and it came with it. Did not pick it out. Still trying to learn it. I feel like my old dishwasher I had for 16 yrs worked better.

Hello there - Thank you so much for taking a moment to get in touch. We really appreciate the review.
We're sorry to hear that this model isn't performing well. That is definitely a surprise to us and the last thing we would expect. We understand how frustrating that can be to deal with.
When it comes to the Dry Boost cycle, you would want to make sure you are running this after the cycle has completed and that it is enabled on High. This would provide the most optimal dry, however it does add some time at the end of a cycle. As for the water spots, there are some extra things you can check. The first would be water temperature, you want to make sure you are reaching 120 degrees F. The other factor would be rinse agents, this can help when you have hard water. We hope this helps some.
