Great Dishwasher
on November 18, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE dishwasher came ready to install and connected very good without any issues. The capacity was well suited, it cycles smoothly, saves on energy, runs with very low noise and installation was a breeze. I recommend this unit to all..

What is the smell, plastic?
on December 5, 2025

Please tell me why my dishwasher smells so incredibly toxic, I understand that it is not stainless steel, just plastic. Is that why it smells so bad after every use! I have left the door open, I have used specific cleaners and only the recommended pods and it still smells so awful. I would rather hand wash my dishes than have to smell that awful smell.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We want to help you with the odors you are smelling on your dishwasher. It is important to know that during initial use you may detect a distinctive smell that is attributed to tub material, chlorine bleach in detergent and the smell of rinse aid. This is normal and the smell will tend to dissipate during normal use. Please review the following link with troubleshooting tips. https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38932 If you continue to smell something that isn't expected, please reach out to Bodewell Service by calling 1-833-426-3393 M-F 8:00-8:00 EST.

Functional

The capacity of the dishwasher is not that spacious as I would like and the controls can be a little confusing as to how they function. Overall it functions as it should, so that’s what’s important to me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Buy another brand

Very loud and makes a very loud tapping noise even before the cycle starts. The rack tines are awkwardly placed. When my husband comments about this you know it’s bad. I would not get again.

We will share your feedback about the tine placement on the racks with our product team so they may review further.
We would like to help and provide some guidance. We do have an article that can be found on our website with some of the normal and abnormal sounds you'll hear and how to correct them at the link- https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38923.

Not impressed
on March 4, 2026

Not a fan. Unfortunately after the control panel went on mine this is all I could afford. Easy to hookup and was able to bring home in my car to save money. The top rack is SHORT. I can't put any tall cups in there like I can any other. It's very loud. The bottom drawer falls constantly off sides when pulling out or pushing in. Cannot change from normal wash option. Have to press the start button HARD to get it on. Cleans well tho.

It's good to hear that the dishwasher is cleaning well and the installation process was smooth. We'd like to assist with the operation of your dishwasher.

The upper rack is mainly for glasses, cups, and saucers. For best wash performance, tilt cup and glass openings toward the center of the rack. Other items such as pots, pans, and plates may be placed in the upper rack. Check out the following article for more helpful loading tips:
https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=19573

This model has a decibel rating of 59 dBA, which is similar to the sound level of a normal conversation. However, keep in mind that the sound level can depend on the installation location, the cabinetry where it is located, the flooring, the countertop above it, what's loaded inside, and even whether the dishwasher is full of dishes or partially empty. For more information on sounds, see here:
https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16269

As far as the lower rack coming off the track, check out the GE Appliances Youtube video here for guidance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBwYl4FSl40

Your unit was designed to use any cycle option selected. If it's only allowing you to select the Normal option, we recommend resetting the breaker. If the issue persists, please schedule a service appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-426-3393 or schedule online at https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service

We also recommend having a GE Appliances technician check out the Start button as well.
