We just moved into a new build and this was the dishwasher selected for us. I started with the lower dryer settings and dishes came out wet. So, make sure you use the higher heat dryer setting.
Also, I just don't like the overall layout of the dishwasher. Placing my bowls in the bottom is just awkward with the peg style. But my dishes are clean, so.... it's doing its job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Dishwasher

Bought a GE because our appliance service man recommended. Am happy with the 2 washing arms and the simple operation feature. Also like the 2 inside filters. It is so much more quieter than our old machine.

This dishwasher is cheaply made. I feel like I have to be very gentle not to break the racks and opening/closing the door.

VERY DISAPOINTING

Having a GE dishwasher (and multiple appliances) for over the past 40 years we opted for another GE. We are very disappointed. Yes, it does clean good but takes a VERY long time. The shelves are cheap plastic and pull completely out very easily. The "lock " on the door is also cheap plastic. The settings are not easy to use. You need to hold the start button for just so long, but if you hold it to long it turns off. The silverware holder is inconveniently located along the side and harder to reach. Also, the lower rack is almost on the floor. We may be 70 but are very athletic and in great health. The upgrades over the past few decades certainly have not ben improvements. We don't have much hope for it lasting anywhere in the time range of our former ones.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The dishwasher was easy to install. Instructions were easy to follow and understand. The dishwashers controls work well and appliance noise level is better than acceptable. Overall I am happy with the unit.
