The existing filter was barely a speck of dirt yet every 6 months I am notified a new filter is due. The filter change should not be merely by time but the life of the filter. Moreover to change subscription was so much of a hassle I gave up.Not pleased with the process at all
With all the wildfires on our planet this summer, the Protect 7400 has helped our family breathe easier and sleep soundly through the nights. The best thing was how the unit kicked into high mode automatically and worked for several days cleaning / purifying the air and then once the smoke cleared, the unit shifted back to normal mode. The entire family loves this unit for the clean purified air we breathe!!!
Ineffective at handling odors and VOCs but good on dust and self containing. Also not biodegradable.

The unit is neatly packaged but relies on lots of non-sustainable materials. Couple this with the cost and mass of the unit and I feel like it’s a necessary evil. It’s Ineffective at handling odors and VOCs in my home but great on capturing dust and is easy to replace cleanly. I look forward to a sustainable option from Blu Air or a competitor.
When you change the filter. For some reason you need to reconnect to the internet via the app. Well that works poorly!! I had to delete the device to be able to connect it. Once connected the app isn’t giving me the reports on the particle counts. Very poor support via the app as well. You can do better I’m sure. All of this has happened twice since purchasing the purifier. Now the requested critique “Agree & Submit” entry isn’t working! Just down graded my rating again!
