doesn't pick up any dust

After using this for 1 year, pre filters in both of my machines are still like brand new. doesn't pick up any dust. I use other brands of air purifiers with simple designs and they picked up so much dust in just 1 week. This design looks good, just doesn't work pickup anything. Look pretty doesn't work pretty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love the design, its warm enough that others dont see it working. We have three pups, this unit cleared my air and cleaned the doggie smell in hours. My wife and I can breathe agian without medicines for allergies. It can easly be moved from room to room as needed. Its been a week and we love the purchase. I have a terrible issue with dust in my home that wasn't addressed completely with the regular air purifiers. I bought this one to work with the air purifiers I already have to help better manage the dust in my home. It seems to be helping as I'm not having to dust my furniture as often now using this equipment. I like how the Dust Magnet looks in my home, and it runs quietly. I run it in the "auto" mode so it automatically adjusts to clean my air as needed.
