My office is facing a busy midtown Manhattan street, and air has never been good. I left it unused for three years during COVID and I am just starting to go back in, The room smells like dust every time I walk in, though I had cleaned the room multiple times. I have noticed I get headache after a few hours of being in there. AND that crazy week wish wildfire smoke. Time to finally get an air purifier. Research is my strength and I looked at multiple sites that reviewed air purifiers. BlueAir always came on top. Also, I am in design industry, so if it is taking up a space in my room, it has to look good. So, here I am. It came super fast. It was extremely easy to put together. I love the app where I can monitor the air quality in the room as well as right outside. It is super quiet, and turns quickly to high when it detects bad air. I am quite new to this, but I do feel like there is a lot less dust to clean in the room, which is a big plus. I rather spend more time working than cleaning while I am in the office.

This is a really good looking air filter and if you keep it on the lowest setting (which is usually all you need) it is extremely quiet. I also like that I can control it from my phone when I’m not home.

I have had the DustMagnet running for about a month now but I can't say I recommend it or don't recommend it. I have a bedroom where the dust accumulates at what I consider an unreasonable rate, and having reached my wit's end with it, I bought the DustMagnet, based on a very glowing review in the local newspaper. A month in, it's hard to say if there has been any positive change. The dust still accumulates; is it doing so less than previously? Hard to say. What is confounding is, the Blueair app constantly reports Excellent air quality. There has been a single short blip one one day only where the reading left the very bottom of the graph. Frankly, I was wondering if the unit was even working since nothing ever changed. How to test this? Anyway, I'm going to stick with it and try to be optimistic, maybe try to gauge the rate of dust accumulation a little more closely. I'm also hoping that various allergens and pathogens are being taken out of the air in that room, since it's the one I sleep in so I spend more time in there than in any other single room.

I wanted to give it a few weeks to really test the dust magnet before I wrote a review. The real test is when you look at the black electronics. This dust magnet is doing a fantastic job. It works better than the other two other brands of air purifiers that I have. Well worth the price.
