[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all the directions that come with this toy are poor and I don’t think toys should need directions in general but when your child asks you to “assemble” what they think should be assembled, some clarification is needed. In this case, my granddaughter was trying to attach a leash to the dog but neither of us could figure it out. The leash attaches to the top of the dog’s head. Who knew?? The dog can attach to a ring to be worn on the finger and the dog can wear a bow on its head. So far I have not seen my child use it as a leashed dog with a doll and she plays with dolls a lot. I gave it 3 stars because she really liked wearing the dog ring while she played but did not use it to interact or play act with the other dolls.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Small but cute

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Barbie surprise shimmer set was a cute idea for a “blind bag” surprise. Using the water to reveal your animal was fun for my daughter and opening the other small items for the animal was fun too but once it all is open it didn’t hold my children’s attention too much longer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great stocking stuffer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It be cute as a stocking stuffer.you have to use water to reveal what color it is but it was pretty simple an easy to do.My daughter was excited to see what color it was.It also came with a couple of little things with it to a leash maybe I'm not sure.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product did not keep my child’s attention. It was just a small plastic dog that sat on a ring. The only cool thing is that the dog changed color. My child has not gone back to the toy since he first opened it.

Cute idea...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 6 yr old because she likes surprise eggs and toys that are “surprises”. These toys always seem to be hit or miss. We have had some she loves and others that don’t seem to interest her. Unfortunately, this fell in the latter category. Personally, I thought it was cute and performed the way it was supposed to in revealing the toy. It came with cute accessories for the dog, including a leash and a ring that holds the puppy. I think if she had a color reveal Barbie so that Barbie could have a pet puppy, it would have been better received.

Fun blind bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves this. She's really into blind bags at the moment. Unfortunately it took a little while for me to understand that it changed colors when you put it in the water, because there were no instructions per se. Alas I let my daughter talk me into filling a cup with water, she insisted that was the point. The outer color came off and that was that.

Cute, but lost interest quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This held my 4 year old's interest for only a few minutes and has been completely forgotten since the first day. Her favorite part was opening the little packages to see the surprises. It is very cute and she liked how it could turn into a ring. She loves jewelry, so I thought it would be a hit, but I guess since it was different than her other Barbie dogs, she wasn't as interested. The pieces are very little and easy to lose, as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was not what I expected it to be. I feel it is flimsy and pretty poorly made. It breaks really easily and we were disappointed with it. My child had no interest in even playing with it sadly. Would not recommend this toy.
