Horrible plastic smell; noisy; ineffective

On unboxing you are greeted with an intense plastic/chemical stench which persists during use. The heater is noisy, and adjusting the dial from low to medium to high has no discernible effect on the noise, airflow, or heat. I own several Vornado fans which are great, this is my first and last Vornado heater. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Heater!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heater can heat a room really quickly! I love the compact size, and the adjustable settings are really helpful also. I use this while working in a room that is a little colder than the rest of our house. The room is so much more comfortable with this heater! It is also very quiet, which is important especially for use in a work space. Overall, I am really happy and impressed with this heater.

Small package, Big punch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a small and sleek heater. It takes up very little space and is not an eye sore like other heaters might be. This heater has 3 heat settings and all are fairly warm. It heats quickly and is equipped with a strong blower that distributes the heat just as quick. It actually got pretty warm the first time I tried it on it's lowest setting. I also like the trigger feature on the bottom so if the heater tips over or is otherwise unsteady, it immediately cuts off and stays off until it is righted again. This is a nice safety feature. overall this is a pretty awesome heater and I could see myself using this for years to come in my home or office.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It has vortex heat circulation that can be set on high, medium or low. Velocity Tuned Heat means the heat is 30% hotter, 30% faster and a further delivery of heat. Great for basements or working in the garage. The safety features include automatic shut-off, cool to touch case and tip over protection. By heating the room instead of the entire house you can save on your electric bill. This heater is an all around winner!

Still cold

Sadly, this heater cannot keep a 12x12 room warm. It shuts off automatically before the room is warm and there is nothing you can do to get it back on. I thought it was faulty and received replacement but the replacement does the same thing.

I’ve bought numerous Vornado products over twenty years. The fans are fantastic; the heaters have been a mixed bag. This one has a strange mixture of heat levels and no fan control—it blows at the same apparent rate regardless of the settings. And it’s LOUD. I couldn’t imagine sleeping with this on, and it would be distracting in an office, or if you wanted to listen to music. I am at a loss as to what the Hi, Med and Lo settings pertain. Heat? All that said, it DOES heat a whole room—a good-sized bedroom that opens to a master bath—provided the door is closed. It may well work for you, but for the first time, I am sending a Vornado back.

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these features that this whole room heater has. It has auto shut off if excessive heat is detected and the heat moves faster and farther to quickly heat up the room. The dual controls to set temperature and heat modes are easy to use and like the integrated carrying handle! Also it has tip over safety power protection, where unit shuts off. And the company stands by the unit with 5 yr. warranty besides if for any reason it does not work right they will make it right.

The heater has a nice look and I like the horizontal Led red light on the front. The on/off switch is a stiff twist one. I miss the easy toggle on other models. The power level switch is also a stiff twist. I don't notice any change in fan speed so the power level must be for the heating element.
