I wish this heater had a variable temp/fan setting like it’s big brother. I would readily pay more for this feature. Otherwise, this is a bit loud, size and power is good.

I bought this for my small greenhouse, to heat it in the wintertime. It works very well. It provides a fairly strong air circulation with warm air (2 heat settings). The air circulation is important because it reduces cold pockets that my occur on the other side of the room. This model is a nice white color, and it is also lower wattage, which I feel is a safer choice for a small greenhouse. The heater does not get real hot, and is not hot to the touch. Overall, if you want a good warm air circulator that is lower wattage (and less money spent on heating), this is an excellent choice.

Great little Heater

I purchased my Velocity 1R Personal Heater about 3 weeks ago to keep a small basement bathroom warm. It worked great. Even during the cold spell with temperatures going to 17 below, it kept the room warm. Once the room heated up, i changed from high to low heat and the room stay warm. I bought quite a few Vornado products over the years, and the only time I had a problem, I found the Vornado Customer Service folks to be very responsive, friendly and quick to take care of the issue. Will continue to be a satisfied customer.

Design of Heater Needs Work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not impressed with the design of the Vornado - Velocity 1R Personal Heater. The heater is awkward to pick up and carry. It does put out good heat, though. Overall, I would not recommend this product to anyone unless some style changes were made.

HOT Deal!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Velocity Personal Heater is a real "winner". It has multiple heat settings, as well as, a fan. The heat is not super hot, but enough to take the chill out of the air. It comes with an integrated handle which is a neat little feature. The settings are on top of the fan and are easily accessible. Just one light touch and the fan changes programs. The operator's booklet contains very good information about this fan and how to reset it, etc, if you were to need to. I'm very impressed with this unit and would definitely recommend it to others.

Perfect size!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Velocity 1R Personal Heater for my husband personal space in our home. It is the coolest room and sometimes needs help. Space is limited so a smaller heater was a must. It fit perfectly on his stand next to his desk. It's very simple to use with only two settings of high and low with a fan only option as well. I love the 4 hour timer on because well, my husband is forgetful. This option lets you manage your heat output and energy consumption. Another great feature is if it is accidentally tipped over, it will automatically shut off or if it excess heat is detected. It's also pretty quiet and can be mved to different spots easily even when on. It definitely throws out some heat and warms his room up. I would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice quality for the price. Perfect for those colder winter nights. I love the size of this product, it's perfect for your nightstand. It comes with 2 heat settings (low and high). My favorite feature has to be the 4-hour timer, not only is that helpful when it comes to safety, but, it is great to consume energy too. Only reason it I did not give it 5 stars is because it is not as quiet as I would like (coming from a light sleeper).

I have vornado stand fans all over my house. But I’m so disappointed with this heater. It makes so much noise and nothing you do changes that. It’s not the fan in it…the noise is vibration of the outside cover. I can’t believe I paid the amount of money I did for this. And I followed all of the initial setup instructions and tested the fan…it started after I had already disposed of the box. Otherwise I would have returned it!
