Makes a difference in dry air fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really nice humidifier, it made an immediate difference within 15 minutes in dry air. Humidity went from 20 to 25 in that time. Looks well made, easy to fill water canister, lift it straight up, don't twist. Flip upside down and fill, making sure to tighten the cap good. I added 2 top humidifier stuff that fights bacteria. Directions tell you how to clean it if you have hard water problems. I used bottled water myself. Has a remote, timer, various fan speeds. I had a little trouble getting it to start. My fault, I hadn't put some water in the base. It is recommended you check both base and water canister for leaks fairly often. Impressive 5 year warranty! So far I love it!

This humidifier has made such a difference in my home.I love the benefits we've noticed since we started using this awesome humidifier. The whole family feels better in general... no more dry itchy eyes, or dry skin, and my daughter's allergy symptoms have dramatically decreased. As another plus, I've noticed that my plants even look healthier. It's super easy to set up, fill and start. The 1.75 gallon tank fills in my kitchen sink and seals completely. When I set it on the base, there is an indicator that shows if it isn't seated properly, so there are NO leaks. There is the choice of a touch screen or a remote control to set it how you want it. I really like the auto setting, so I just fill it and forget it! The water level is easy to see so I know when to fill the tank again. The sleek design doesn't detract from the decor either. This is the best addition to our home.. you really must try it!

So I started a few years ago with Vornado's filter pad humidifiers and got extremely tired of the dirty filters, pink filters, etc etc and decided this year to switch it up. I was really worried about the getting the "white dust" from ultrasonic humidifiers, but what I really like about this one is that it has the fan that 'pushes' the humidity upwards instead of just falling to the ground. Overall expierence is I love it. I'm not a paid reviewer, nor did I get a free unit to review. I bought it and I use it. I keep the unit running on continuous and it keeps my whole first floor open concept cape cod home around 50% humidty, give or take some on certain days. We ended up getting better coverage with the unit sitting somewhere we always walk past instead of tucking it in a corner of the house. The downstairs area is roughly 1000sq ft. I fill the cansiter once in the morning (8am) and once at night (10pm). It's SO much better than filling 4 canisters (2 units) mulitple times a day with the old filter pad units.
One thing you need to do is CLEAN THE UNIT!!! I would say once a week clean the unit. I pushed it to roughly two weeks and it was disgusting in the base. Even with a filtration system in my home, the water still gets a little gross. One reason is because it pulls unfiltered air into the unit to supply the fan. So I feel like the dust getting drawn in doesn't help with that issue. Maybe they could put a cheap paper filter on the intake screen? Either way, CLEAN THE UNIT! And clean it with a non-abrasive pad or towel of some sort so you don't make micro scratches in the plastic that harbour even more little gross things.

I've had several Vornado units, each of worked well for the expected lifetime, so the UH200 was a natural choice. It humidifies well, putting ~3 gallons per day into the air. It's very quiet (which is welcome). The tank design seems good, in that it has a flat surface so it supports itself during filling. The tank is easy to clean. However, removing the bottom from the tank (for filling) is quite difficult. There is an ~1/8 turn cam locking system; the cover must be fully secured before use. Removing the cover requires WAY too much torque. Anyone with wrist problems, beware!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is awesome! It came just in time for a respiratory virus too so we put it to use right away. It holds a ton of water so it lasts 2-3 days when you run for 8 hours. You can do hot or cold mist too which I love! You can adjust the humidity, light brightness, and fan. It has a control lock so little hands can’t change the settings. It also comes with a remote. I love it! My only con is that it is hard to open to refill the water.

It runs for a long time so if I put it on at night it will run for the night . Quiet . Easy to fill and empty.

It is a very quiet machine. Has heat or cool mist. Overall great product.

After using it I noticed that my dry skin and dry itchy throat have gotten better. For the economical price it has more settings and benefits than I expected. I highly recommend the UH200 Whole Room Ultrasonic Humidifier to everyone for home humidification.
