So far, smell the only issue!

We've had our washer for a little over a month with no mechanical issues; in fact, it runs in all its modes and speeds very well (very quiet spin compared to what I'm used to). I'm hopeful this continues for years! However, there was one issue that caused immediate concern from the first use: the 'rubber' door gasket is apparently impregnated with an anti-mold compound and either it or the floral scent they added to cover the smell of it is very strong (as in, smells the hole room up if you leave the washer door open). This would have been a deal breaker for me, if not for the fact that I cannot get the smell to transfer to clothing, much to my surprise! I wipe the gasket down after a wash and NO smell goes to the wiping cloth. More importantly, NO smell is transferred to the clothing washed in the washer - they all come out smelling 'unscented', just like the laundry soap we use. A few hours after the wipe down from the last load and I close the washer door, and the strong floral scent of the gasket fades quickly from the room...we'll see how this goes over time.

Quiet and Fast!!!

I have had this machine for about a month now, and I have not been let down! I am coming from a unit that was 8 yrs old that worked like a champ until it death day. The main reason I had this other unit was because of how quiet it was, and this new Electrolux is even quieter!!! AND...it does the normal loads 14 mins quicker! I like the choice of cycles, it even has a quick wash for something that needs done NOW! Now...I am going back in 2 week to get the matching dryer. There is nothing wrong with my current dryer, but I figure if the washer is this good, the dryer must be spectacular as well!!! I am a converted Electrolux guy now!!!

The Q;uiet Machine

I bought this machine about a month ago and I am very satisfied with it. I am amazed at how quiet it is. It is easy to operate and is very efficient. Digital timer lets you know just how many minutes before the cycle is finished

We've had the machine for almost a month. It's easy to run and is so much quieter then our older unit. The display is awesome with the remaining time being displayed. We'll be getting many years use out this machine, well built quality machine.
