No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oh no! Penguin, I am dismayed to read you are unhappy with the way your washer is washing your clothes. We recommend liquid or powder detergent over the use of PODS in front load washers. We are unable to guarantee the pod will dissolve at the correct time during the wash cycle to ensure proper cleaning performance. If pods are used, please place the pod directly into the washer drum BEFORE placing laundry into the unit. This will help mix the detergent into the water. Do not place the pod in the detergent drawer as the gel coating may cause the detergent drawer to become clogged. Only use a low-sudsing, high efficiency detergent to prevent oversudsing in front load washers. If this hasn’t helped, or you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reconnect with us directly by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST @ 1-877-4ELECTROLUX (1-877-435-3287). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the washer for a month now. No issues at all. It really spins the clothes, less drying time. I'm hoping I have now issue with mold like I did my last washer. They have a washer cleaning cycle which is nice. Holds a lot of clothes.
