Great features but........

I WAS so happy with it for less than three weeks. It died in the middle of a load....locked up....couldn't open it. Have to wait for 3 weeks to get it fixed. Not a happy camper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Purchase Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this washer 10/18 and it is out of service since 12/18. Door is locked and will not unlock. There’s a couple inches of water sitting in the bottom while we wait for an authorized repair center to actually show up the the appointment. I will not purchase another Electrolux appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a traditional pair or washer and dryer but it was time to upgrade because the dryer stopped working. Electrolux was a HUGE upgrade! My clothes smell extra fresh and everything gets cleaner! I threw clothes without pretreating into the washer and even blood comes out! The dryer dries in half the time and clothes are without wrinkles! I couldn’t be happier! Plus this is one of the few models where both washer and dryer can have the door swings changed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A month ago I replaced my 23 year old Maytag top load washing machine with the front load Electrolux after doing a considerable amount of research comparing it to other brands etc. I haven't tried the steam feature but I'm very happy with the features: Love the light that comes on when the door is opened, the ability to easily wash larger items that were difficult to stuff in the top load (such as throw rugs), easy controls, definite water saving, nice soap and conditioner dispenser, the ability to toss in a forgotten item in the beginning stages, the door stand ventilation, and the machine is very attractive. The projected life of this machine is longer than many, hope that ends up to be true in my case.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 13 year old GE front load washer's motor died two months ago. Parts were no longer available. We had a good overall experience with GE even when our machine needed repair and when they contacted us and serviced the machine for a recalled part.
However, in reading more recent reviews, we gravitated to Electrolux. A few years back we were going to select Electrolux for our kitchen remodel, yet went with Samsung (should have opted for Electrolux back then).
We are very happy with the purchase of our Electrolux front load washer and dryer. Seems to provide a little more water than our former front load, older GE washer. Which we like. Both machines are very energy efficient and are super quiet. The washer has all of the settings we want pre-programmed and the control panel is well lighted.
I think the one thing we should have purchased was the pedestals. The machines are lower to the floor than our former GE appliances.
And....wish there were more color choices, although the white seem appropriate for a laundry room. Clean and sanitary looking.

Easy to use, large capacity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I bought this I was concerned about front loaders because everyone complains about a smell and clothes don’t come out clean. After three months I have not had either issue. I occasionally wipe down the drum with a towel and never close the door when not in use.
I did once leave clothes in for about 24 hours and had to re wash them as they did have a faint musty odor.
The large capacity is so great, what use to be two loads in my top loader is one load in this front loader. I stuff the washer to it’s max and my clothes come out fine.
I don’t know how well it would clean very soiled clothes as we are all adults with office jobs and our clothes aren’t that dirty. I haven’t had any issues with spots, but I pretreat any spots I might have.
The cycle times can be a bit long, 91 minutes for a good wash, but you can choose a lesser cycle time if you’re in a hurry.
As far as front load verses top load, I’m sure as I get older I will appreciate not having to dig into a deep top load, otherwise it isn’t a big advantage one way or another, except for the larger capacity.
Overall this washer has delivers what it promised, clean clothes and a large capacity. I think my water bill is a bit less as I do less loads but it’s hard to tell.
