[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally received my LG PH510P projector, and me and my family are thrilled. Right out the box this projector is small and slim in size. Almost pocket size. You can literally take it anywhere. We bought a 120 inch indoor/outdoor screen. This projector goes up to 100 inches. I was blown away by the picture quality. Very vibrant colors. I connected my Bluetooth speaker and media device. I was streaming movies in seconds , from Hbo Max, Disney and Netflix. They streamed perfectly as if it was my LG TV. If you dont have a Bluetooth speaker, you'll be surprised at the internal speaker sound this portable project has. On top of that it can hold a battery charge of 2.5 hours. Me and family are very happy with this device and will highly recommend it anyone. Movie nights just got better. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinions.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Performance, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good upgrade to the PH550P but Firmware Needs Work

I had a PH550P briefly, but one corner was out of focus when the rest of the screen was clear. I chalked this up to a manufacturing calibration defect, since my old HS210 had perfect focus. So I gave this a try...
This projector has great focus, very good color for me on the Warm color temperature setting, and is quite bright, very nice in a dark room. The contrast ratio and black level is not great, but that's expected of DLP projectors. My main reason for getting this is that, like my old HS210, I expect to get a good 8 or 9 years out of it due to the 30,000-hour LED design.
My big complaint is a firmware problem, which won't affect many users, but for me, it's extremely annoying. The color temperature setting, (as well as many, many other picture settings), isn't available when playing video from a USB drive. I don't see any good reason for this other than lazy programming, since, to change the screen's color temperature, you only have to adjust the individual brightness of the red, green, and blue LEDs. There is no good reason to not have this control available in USB mode. (In fact, when powering down the unit while in USB mode, you can see it briefly change the color temp setting back to Warm for a second before it turns off.)
Furthermore, there is no good reason not to have user control of the red, green, and blue LED drive for a User Color Temperature setting. Why are we locked into 4 presets, Cool, Medium, Warm, and Natural, when each LED has, at the very least, 256 levels of brightness?? Please, LG, update your firmware to allow better control of color temperature, and allow Any control when playing USB files!
Don't get me wrong, this is an incredible device for its size, just like its predecessor, but it needs some more attention, some TLC from it's software people. And I love that it still has a TV tuner, as well as composite and RGB inputs! This is rare nowadays! But please, LG, assign a programmer to give this thing a great update!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this projector at a discount for my honest review. The CineBeam PH510P is an DLP LED projector. It’s an android operating system, Bluetooth sound out, a battery that lasts up to two and half hours, manual focus, auto Keystone, and advertised up to 550 ANSI lumens. It comes with a remote, a pouch, and a composite adapter There are many portable projectors on the market. The CineBeam has a lower price point than many other projectors, and that is reflected in the features of the projector. This is a 720P projector, and 1080P by default has better resolution. There are no built-in apps. For portable I do find this a slight weakness, as it would be nice to have built in apps like Netflix or Amazon Prime or YouTube as opposed to having to hook up to an external device like a phone. It has inputs for AV, cable, USB, and HDMI. The projector has auto Keystone, but manual focus. For my test, I set up a screen in my living room during the day to see how it would react with light. I then used it at night in the dark. I streamed from my phone via HDMI. There is a joystick on the top of the unit to get around the menu, but I found the remote very easy to use. After watching a few movie clips from Netflix and Prime, and then some music videos and various content from YouTube, here are my thoughts on the projector. I would never use the internal speakers as they really do not have much volume, so I had the projector stream Bluetooth to my audio system. There are several picture modes like vivid and cinema, but I found standard to be the best. I played around with some of the picture settings like color sharpness and a few other things to fine-tune it. In the light it had a slight washed out look, in the dark better. I was honestly not overwhelmed with the picture. The colors did not jump out off the screen, but as previously stated was not expected with a 720P. The picture was very good, but not as clear and sharp as I would have liked. It handled motion fine and I did not see action blur. With that said, this projector felt more like an office use projector. I think would be great for presentations, but don’t feel it would be a main use projector for watching movies or gaming. This is a budget projector, so you can’t expect it to stand up to the 1080P’s and the more expensive projectors. But, when you’re outside camping with a screen (my primary use), I don’t expect an OLED quality picture. It is adequate for that use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got the PH510 and have a love/hate relationship with this product.
I love how portable this projector is. It’s about the size of a hard cover book, has a built in battery for cord free use and packs over 2.5 hours of charge before needing to recharge. It can also be used with a charging cable to keep the movies rolling.
The unit has a ton of connections for wired playback: HDMI, coax attachment for antenna in, USB and the reason I got this….. wireless screen share. You can also attach a Bluetooth speaker for sound out.
All told, pretty solid specs for a wireless setup. This is where the hiccup happens. Not sure who decided that this projector only supports Mira cast for wireless streaming. There is NO Apple support at all for Apple airplay or screen sharing. This will only work with an android device for wireless streaming. To connect to an iPhone or iPad you have to use an adapter that has an hdmi port on it to play back anything. Your other option is to connect a Blu-ray or DVD player via hdmi. Totally defeats the purpose of a wireless projector and setup…..
Anyway, if you are part of the 35% of the mobile phone market using android, congrats, you can have a truly mobile setup with no hoops to jump thru to playback a movie, if you’re part of the other 65% who use Apple products and want a wireless solution keep looking.
I received this product at a discount for my honest opinion.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying using my new LG PH510P HD LED Portable CineBeam Projector very much. Easy to setup, locate and adjust . The picture quality is fine and very easy to focus into. I watched movies mostly, did some gaming and watched regular tv too. I did use the unit with my LG Sound bar and it sounded great !The Bluetooth setup to my wireless speaker was quick and easy. It comes with HD 1280 x 720 and A built-in battery, that lasts up to 2.5 hours. I would definitely recommend its purchase. I received this product at A discount price, in return for my honest opinion. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our kids are loving this new projector we setup in their room. At the price point, we weren’t expecting great quality. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The picture quality is great, this projector is also very compact. We were able to use the bluetooth function to connect an external speaker to enhance sound quality. This unit has many features to tweak, depending on the type of content you are viewing. It also has 3D viewing capability, but we have not tried it out yet because we do not own 3D glasses. We also don’t own a projector screen, but were able to paint our white walls silver/gray and it looks great. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this project at a discount price for an honest review.. So far it has worked out great. The picture is clear, and the colors are vibrant. I wanted to connect to my Android phone and had so many issues with connecting. It wouldn't even find my phone. So I hooked up an streaming device to the projector instead. Connecting to a Bluetooth speaker was easier. Overall this projector has met our needs. Just need to make it easier to connect a phone wirelessly to the projector.
