I compared the models on apple.com - what stood out to me was the difference in the cameras - I did not need all the camera options available on the 16 and up models, so that worked for me - I also noticed the difference in the connection details (what cellular connections are supported, the modem, etcetera) but I did not take a deeper dive - I did not read reviews or blogs - I trusted Apple would not release a less than superior product - ATT was also offering what appeared to be a really good deal on the 16e - so I moved forward with the purchase - I loved the phone from out of the box - it looked and felt great - but then restore from backup from a 13 model using Finder on Mac OS did not work as it should have - 24 hours later I finally got a working phone - but I noticed that not all the settings were carried over to the new phone - this meant that I was going to have to go through each setting and each app - that is hours of work - but I was willing to do it - until I could schedule that time though I was actively using the phone and I immediately notice x2 major features that were missing - #1 the camera does not have a x.5 zoom out - that is a feature i used and like - but I missed that one - that is on me - #2 the new apple c1 modem - here is what i experience (and yes folks - i have been through so many different settings and suggestions both from humans and AI - and btw - i work in technology - i have above average technical aptitude) - this modem seriously affects connection performance - both on cellular and wifi - I am not personally interested in a few more hours of battery life - i want, i need, reliable stable connectivity - both cellular and wifi - with true 5g cellular speeds - my experience is that the 16e consistently disappoints in this area - and when compared to my experience with my 13 - the hands down winner is the 13 - and again, even the wifi connections that were great with my 13 are now troublesome with my 16e - so what did i do? - i kept the 16e - i am hopeful that apple admits it mistakes on this one and provides updates to get the c1 modem working as it should have
After having the same iPhone since 2017,I’m very happy with my new iPhone 16. Love it and they have some amazing colors (I just got black).Plus I got to keep my old phone and my monthly bill literally went up 1 cent per month!
Phone works as expected. No issues. Would have given it 5 stars, but these are FAR too expensive for something that is obsolete/worn-out in 3 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Size is perfect. Quality is great. Doesn’t have the magnet, not a dealbreaker. A bit costly. I have an 11 Pro, I may buy this one next time.
