The carafe side of the brewer works fine and makes good coffee. However, the warming plate temperature is too high. It boils the coffee in the carafe. (You can see and hear it boiling.) This leads to a burnt taste after it sits awhile. The K-cup side has some serious design oversights. First, you cannot easily see how much water is in the reservoir. Second, there is no easy way to drain or dispose of leftover water in the reservoir. You must unplug the entire unit and dump the water out in the sink. A removable reservoir is a must in a product that only gets occasional use.

The reservoir for the water on the K cup side is way too small. After 2 cups you have to refill it! About every week or 2 the k cup won’t drain correctly, and you end up with coffee grounds all over the inside of the k cup compartment, which is a pain in the butt to clean!

Should have an easier way to check water level for pods other than sticking your finger in the well. The water level indicator should be seen on the front, should not need to turn the whole machine around to be able to see it.. the pod control lights are blinding , cannot read what they say because of that.

I was disappointed because it is difficult to see how much water is in the pod water holder. Many times it has overflowed. I have other cuisinart coffee pots and I love them. Very disappointed.
