Makes a reasonable cup of filter coffee and is very good value for the sale price at which I purchased it. However! The water tank is awkward to fill if the coffee maker is beneath a kitchen wall since the lid will not open fully, hitting the bottom of the cabinet, and the tank is to the rear of the machine. The handle and lid of the jug is fixed to the glass of the jug with only the metal band around the lower section of the jug, the top of the handle held by only a plastic hook over the jug rim. This means the handle is free to move around the jug, taking the lid with it and moving the lid opening away from the pouring spout! Very annoying as it is not easy to move back into alignment. This is a poor design! A mesh filter would be preferable to having to purchase disposable paper filters. Filling the filter cone with ground coffee is also a challenge when the lid can't be opened fully!

I love this coffee machine, it it a nice compact size but has a large jug - perfect for 2 coffee addicts! It is mostly very quiet, you hardly realise it is brewing until the last few seconds when it makes a bit of noise. Overall a great purchase and a bargain for the price, especially with a 3 year warranty!
